Hey there fellow R.Users!

ARedLetterDay here with yet another topic! This time, though, will be focused on Indie Games! Yep, you read that right, Independent Games made by gamers for gamers! There are some real gems out there (and some real :face:'s out there too, if you know what I mean), just like actual games! Here's how it'll work.

Each day I'll post a link to the Indie Game's website (provided they have one), along with the following information:

Release Date
Brief Summary
A link to the game it plays most like (after all, most of these indie games are inspired by / based off of popular franchises)
Game Information (how many levels, how long it should take to beat it, file size etc. etc.)
Difficulty Level
and, most importantly, ARedLetterDay's rating on a scale from 1-10.

R.Users may feel free to do the same and can comment with their own rating of a game I or another member recommended (or unrecommend).

To start it off, ARedLetterDay's Indie Game of November 17th, 2012 is. . .

NINJA SENKI

Ninja Senki (http://www.ninjasenki.com/)

December 21st, 2010.

Ninja Senki is a retro 8-bit platformer developed by the same fellow that brought you the Scott Pilgrim beat-em-up, Johnathan Lavigne. Staying true to it's 8-bit origins, the game is increasingly hard, though for good reason. Hop and throw shurikens as Hayate the Blue Ninja on a quest to revenge your girlfriend, Kinuhime, after being killed by the demon ninja! But can revenge bring her back? Can revenge bring. . YOU back!?

Mega Man - Nintendo Entertainment System (http://www.retrouprising.com/game-menu/game/2364/)

16 levels of pure, pulse-pumping action! It's fairly long, so make sure you have an afternoon or evening free to dedicate to it! There's no passwords or continuing (excluding the cheat), so be sure to try your best! File Size: 11.6 MB
Hard! Megaman Hard! Ninja Gaiden NES Hard! Hard, but rewarding!
8! This game gets an 8 for: awesome music, smooth gameplay, creative enemies, but it lacks in level variety, as there are only eight levels. Every two levels is a boss, which means two levels are the same, excluding layout and enemy placement.

Can you rise to the challenge? Can you bring back Kinuhime!? Most importantly, are you. . .

Just bringing this topic up to the top, in case anybody's looking for a new game to play. I'll be resuming this most likely starting next month.

Ninja Senki looks cool but I always sucked at those kind of games. Is it free?

Have you heard of Don't Starve?
Don't Starve | Survive! Collect! Attack! (http://www.dontstarvegame.com/)
I think it's a lot of fun. It's unfinished but they seem to be constantly updating it with good stuff.

It's free, as most of my selections will be.
Thanks for bringing that to my attention by the way, I'll add that to the description in future posts.
DS looks really cool! I love the art style.

Free is a great way to tempt people. ;)
