I saw someone mention that Pitfall allows you to go left or right but it starts facing to the right. They also said it's easier if you go left. Anyone know if there's truth to that?

Ghostbusters II on NES. All the character stages have you going left, as does the Statue of Liberty stage.

Oddly though, the 2 driving stages go to the right.
