that's why i play here and i also would like to find a n64, and get my snes goin. also i would love to see snes added here and i understand its not happening anytime soon. now game cube, that was probally what killed it for me, no games of interest, don't even know why i bought it had it like 5 months. wii never tried it, but there r plenty of things out there i have never tried and know i wont like ;D

the wii is notthat bad but its too much standing for me lol.. the gamecube i got just cause it went outdated and there are a few good games for it if you look for it. i just got the rampage: total destruction for it and that one is good. i just don't think that the ps3 would work for me due to the fact that now you cant find one that will play the older games like the ps2 and the playstation so whats the point of the ps3 now.

june i guess, its supposed to $500 and have MGS4 w/ it (80gb and ps 2 "emotion chip") i want the 80gb just for the extra 40gb for downloading, sony knows at some point they are gonna have to compete w/ xbox live for real. i could always just keep the ps2 i have, sony fixes it for free every time it breaks anyway ::)

i got that i have played it and for me it was not as easy to play when sitting as it was when standing but that may be just because they had the thing that you have to point at up high and it dosent work when sitting lol..

thats what i mean, IS there any good single player games coming? for that matter is there a traditional mario game or is that franchise done in the sense of they did not have a real mario game cube game. the newer metroid games were good and i wasn't that big of fan of the gamecube zelda. and are there traditional controls?

Mario Galaxy is good, it's wierd to get used to though since it's 3D. And not all games use the normal controls, I know Smash Bros lets yo use like 5-6 different controls, even the GC controller.
I don't have alot of game experience on Wii so others will have to explain more.

I'm gonna take the topic back a few subjects if I may, to the whole Blu Ray thing and downloadable video.

Am I the only one that would hate to see downloadable video become the easiest and best option for people to buy movies? Not only do I fear a lack of hard drive space, but I love my DVD collection and just like having something tangible.

I guess I did feel the same way when records switched to CDs, and I wasn't even born yet... :)

Fun Fact: I have a larger record collection than most people I know that were alive when the format was thriving.

Yeah I got a huge amount of DVDs, I don't wanna have to switch over to something new already.

Hopefully newer stuff will play DVDs. It's not like VCRs and VHS tapes, you could drop those down a flight of stairs and have it for 10 yrs, still working. DVDs and the players are fragile.

As someone who owns and plays all 3 systems, this is how I see it:
I play my 360 the most. It has nearly every game I would ever want to play on a PS3 and then some. It also has way better online than the other systems.
I play my Wii when I have people over, so it gets alot of play too. The Wii should be a great system, so it is too bad that it lacks great games. I really don't play my Wii by myself. The virtual console is a pretty cool feature, but I have a hard time buying games that I already own on an older console.
The PS3 gathers dust. The PS3 is a fine system, but it has 2 disadvantages. The 360 has better internet service (even if you have to pay for it it is still better) and the PS3 has VERY few games that are any good that are not also on the 360. I may be biased because I don't like Metal Gear and dudes get really into that series (pretty much all my friends love it), but the only reasons I have found for playing a PS3 thus far are Metal Gear Solid 4 and Uncharted: Drake's Fortune. I am looking forward to Little Big Planet a lot, however.
For me the Wii is on a different level than the other 2, so you can't really compare it. The PS3 and the 360 are the same console with different games. The PS3 has Metal Gear and Drake's Fortune. The 360 has Gears of War, Bioshock (though that is coming to PS3), Viva Pinata (not for everyone), Ninja Gaiden 2, Saints Row and some others.
Thought really, I don't like dudes bashing any consoles, because they are all awesome. If you have a PS3 you still get to play a ton of awesome games, because there are tons of awesome games for 360 AND PS3.


As for playing blu-rays, that's all fine and good. That is a great feature. But I want a machine that plays video games. I'm not quite ready to start buying blu ray discs for my movies, and when I am there will be some pretty cheap options out there I am sure.

Gears of War 2, Fable 2, Saints Row 2, Banjo Kazooie: Nuts and Bolts, Left 4 Dead, and Animal Crossing: City Folk are all awesome looking games that you will notbe able to play on your Playstation 3.

haha forgot about this thread, bought the ps3 a few months back and its great, have hardly came here, my girlfriend has assumed the role. i am annoyed that bioshock has just come to ps3(downloaded demo, great game). killzone 2 is all i am really waiting for, besides gow4 and the new street fighter. its funny how a certain game will make u loyal to a system. i was big time nintendo guy until tony hawk came out and i totally forgot about nintendo. the $199 360 makes me want to see what i am missing over there. still don't want the wii. can find the virtual cosole games elswhere if i want them. incidently, has anyone played the new megamen 9 on ps3 (dl?
