Hi Supermarioworld, and welcome to RetroUprising, the best site on the net!

First I would like to say I understand many people here feel that A.V.G.N. is 'overrated' and gets far too much attention.
Some of those same people have said his videos aren't 100% correct, and to support that claim I would like to draw your attention to the 'N.E.S. accessories' video he did where he had to go back and edit the video. {having made a derp regarding the 'Super Scope' on a flat - screen T.V.} :eek:

In his defense, he says himself his videos are meant to be reviews of games from his own personal perspective, with the exception of the ones made in response to fans' input, such as the 'Deadly Towers' video.

I for one have been a great fan of his - now mind you - I am not a fan of excessive vulgarity {but can let it rip myself without realizing my hypocrisy for some reason :-[} but taking that into account I find his videos richly entertaining.

James Rolfe {A.V.G.N.} has been making videos since he was a little kid, and it shows - I've been saying for a long time I would like to see a movie made by him.
Not the A.V.G.N. movie, I mean a big budget production of the caliber shown in theaters - likely to be a horror since he, like myself, is a life long horror fan. :skeleton:

I like his short film: 'The Deader, The Better' - a hilarious twist on a classic horror theme, 2 Undertakers have a rather unusual graveyard to tend to .. {now it's on DVD, apparently}
On horror, I look forward to every years' installment of 'Monster Madness', where James reviews his favorite classic horror films, and not to be forgotten are his 'Godzillathon' videos which are a tribute to the great Toho films out of Japan - and more!

Nowadays he's busy being a parent, as announced during the special screening of the A.V.G.N. movie - and I for one can only wonder what kind of experience that child will have with a parent like him!
I bet it would be a hoot!

I wasn't even aware that these memory videos were a thing, being that I unsubscribed long ago. Wasn't really my thing anymore. Kind of repetitive videos, but they weren't bad. Just have appreciation for different styles of gaming videos more so. (Completionist, Jontron). They have a lot more originality in each video, get a lot of their facts right, and just are genuinely funny.
