Ok I just downloaded the game, I haven't been playing it long, and I've gotten the message twice that minecraft has run out of memory. And it seems to pop up randomly. The first time it happened, I closed the game, opened it again played single player, and about 5 minutes later the error popped up again. How can I fix this?

what are the specs on your pc? (i.e. ram, processor, what graphics card you have) if you dont know how to check, right click "my computer"

ok, it seems to be a mixed bag error, alot of people say they changed the graphics settings and some people suggested this video Increase the java heap space for browser applets - YouTube

I did what the guy in the youtube video did, It still gives me the out of memory error after about 5 minutes of gameplay

I also did what I saw someone else say to do, and updated java. I tried afterwards, and while it seems to lag quite a bit sometimes, it lasted a little bit longer. Before crashing again....
