SMB3 Submission

I had recently submitted SMB3 on Nintendo, play through, unsure if I beat the high score, had to submit after score due to pressing up at the door. Wanted to know if that was fixable.


Question, would using the whistles on World 8 be considered in any form point boosting?

I want to know before my next run.

Sorry to be a bugger but I'm still waiting for a response about this. If I lost the score that isn't a big deal. but I need to know if I can complete world 8 repeatedly

@Ted- You got the mastery but not the score. The score has to be visible as I'm sure you know.

I believe in the next version of ArcadeOx, which Kong is still working on, this will not be a problem.

As for the whistle thing, I don't believe that would be farming but you'd want a second opinion on that from one of the more knowledgeable ones :p

I guess the question that needs to be answered is; is there any way to use the whistles in such a way that you could collect more than you would normally receive in a run-through the game.

I don't believe there is, but if there is that would not be allowed as a it could create an infinite loop. However if there is either no way to collect more whistles than normal or you avoid collecting the same whistle more than once that would be allowed.

There are no whistles in world 8, so there is no possibility of creating an endless loop by using whistles to restart world 8.

There are only 3 whistles in the game:
World 1-3
World 1-Fortress
World 2 - Hidden Hammer bro

As long as you don't use it to get more whistles (i.e. only use 3 whistles max in the entire game), you should be fine.
