Here's what I'm going to say.
An athlete is not a hero based purely on the merits of being an athlete, same goes for celebrities of all kinds.
A hero, to me, is someone who saves someone's life, is a good first-responder (fireman, paramedic, police{not the kind that beats mentally ill janitors to death for no reason}), is a good soldier (not the kind that kills civilians and crap like that), revolutionizes thinking in one subject or another, removes a corrupt government and replaces it with a less corrupt government or spreads awareness about something which there is little to no awareness about.

People really need to realize that ATHLETES ARE NOT HEROES, unless they save someone's life or something.
