Wii must play games

I just bought a wii a couple of months ago. I was wondering if I can get everyone's recommendation for must play games. No need to fight over the recommendations, just list as many must plays as you can because I'm lost going through the catalog right now.

The Mario Galaxy games are good. Mario Kart is good if you avoid the broken multiplayer. That's all I can think of atm.

I couldn't name any Wii exclusives not produced by Nintendo other than Bit Trip Beat that I could recommend from experience.

I find that a good quarter of the library is great, though a good portion of that quarter is obscure, while the other 75% are either ports or Chicken Blaster business. I really can't say how accurate that is, but it's how I feel so far.

Really? I didn't think it was the greatest either, but I thought it was on par to how Castlevania Rebirth compared to the originals.

Castlevania The Adventure Rebirth is probably the best Castlevania game ever made.

I'm not kidding, it's the perfect length for the game, not overly long like CS 1-4, but hard enough to make you work for it and to feel like you accomplished something when you beat it, especially if you're going for it on one credit, no continues.

It's got great level design, fantastic music, great looks........it's the ultimate embodiment of the old school Castlevania concept.

If you want a game that just goes on forever (seemingly) try Monster Hunter Tri. Just make sure you get a Classic Controller Pro to play it - the motion controls suck so badly in that game!

If I had listed Nintendo developed games, I would have put it up.

It's a fun game that has good creative charm, but the game play isn't quite on the level of NSMBW.

The new Xenoblade game just came out and I would recommend it if you even tolerate the RPG genre for 2 reasons... A, The voice acting doesn't sound like Dying children :'(, and B, It is one of the ONLY RPG's on the system that isn't a download or a RPG/Platforming hybred like Paper mario (Which otherwise is an OK game.)

I checked out most of the games in this thread since. I'm really happy with the wii. I think I'll have to pick it as my fav console. I enjoyed my PS3 right up until the people that run that company turned into complete idiots (firmware 3.40). Wii+PC = SUPREME GAMING.

Tales of Symphonia 2 is ALRIGHT, it's better if you hadn't played the first to know how bad it is,
but then you won't know most of the characters.
Sonic Unleashed is awesome on day stages
Sonic colors is worth all of the retro uprisings money in terms of bringing back awesome gameplay.

Huge Wii fan here! But I grew up Sega all the way. I agree with the poster who mentioned the 25% good 75% crap ratio. I have purchased many games for my Wii and been burned lots! But I also found some great games!

I know some of these have been mentioned but they are well worth mentioning again:
Monster Hunter Tri (simply amazing, you will forget you are playing on the Wii graphics wise. But as mentioned get the classic controller.)
Bully (personally I think it's better than San Andreas and hey, it's Rockstar.)
No More Heroes (either one)
Red Steel 2 (it does what we thought Red Steel was going to control wise.)

- Driift Mania ("Super Sprint" style racer, up to 8 local players - no online play)
