SSB: Brawl discussion (now that it's out)

I went to the midnight launch at Gamestop here, and got Brawl. I then hauled a TV to my friends house and sat in his basement with a collective of 6 dudes while we played the crap out of the game. It is not 4:43 since the time changed at 2, and I am sitting here typing. Jesus, Brawl is the coolest thing ever.

My favorite new character so far is probably the Pokemon trainer. It's basically 3 characters in one. One that is slow and powerful, one fast and not as powerful, and a happy medium also. Crazy. Awesome. Words can not express my love for this game already.

I gotta get some sleep so I can play it again in the morning.

Who else has it and has played it? What do you think?

my mom wanted me to buy brawl before i got a wii.. seems like a wise move i didnt want to do.

but i am getting it... but i dont have wireless..

You can get a USB thing that just plugs into your computer and will let your Wii connect to the internet for like 30 bucks, if you want.

Or you could just spend 40 and get a router.

Or you could continue to not have wireless.

Yeah the different ways of controlling the game are cool.
1. Remote with nunchuck
2. Remote w/o nunchuck
3. Classic controller
4. GC controller.

But he didn't unlock for some reason even though I beat him.

I tried online play with a friend 1 time. It was laggy. He remembered later that he was downloading several things, which is probably why.

I have been wondering about more than 1 person on a machine myself.

I played team brawl mostly, seemed that I could get 4 players that way. Kinda sucks that you don't know if you are playing the same people all the time...

My connection was great online a slow down or two.

Anyone able to beat any solo mode on intense? i got close on classic, but i died cuz i wasn't paying attention to where i should side+B onto the edge. and anyone get 100% subspace?

My Character List (from best to fifth):
1st=Ike
2nd=Fox
3rd=Pit
4th=Lucario
5th=Marth

and once every few times, i use Toon Link

What sucks is that whenever I'm on wi-fi no one else is on and when I choose "With anyone" it takes FOREVER to find some people dumb enough to Brawl with me.

So how do you get your code? after i pay off my laptop and wii i will get internet, so look out ;)

When you connect your wii to nintendo wifi it will show you your code.
I haven't played online in a long time, I've been pretty busy lately. I think it would be fun to have an RU SSBB tourney over the summer, if enough people on the site have the game.

a tournament, whoever your paired against (thanks to random.org) you set a time. a week time limit and whoever didnt finish the one who tried to get contact wins.

We need to start thinking about rules, and what not, random character, stage? Items? Time? Number of rounds.

i was thinking choose any character that is unlocked from the start, the stage can be the battlefield so theres no bad terrain. items all turned off, and we have 3 lives each.

I always liked items in Brawl, but I do realize that they can make things was lopsided sometimes.I think you should be able to pick whatever character you want, items turned off on Final Destination. I think 3 lives is a bit few. Maybe 5?

I just unlocked everyone, completed the embassy, then got Toon Link, then Wolf, then Jigglypuff. ;D
