Picked it up tonight and played a quick match with my wife, very fun game. I basically picked it up to play with friends and family at home over the holidays, and I`m glad I did. Anyone who has a significant other or friend who doesnt really like games then this is recommended by me. At it`s very base it`s like Monopoly -building up property value to reap rewards when your opponents land on you, but the similarities end there. There are mini-games, stockmarket, gaining levels for your character, all sorts of fun stuff. Bottom line is if your looking for something to play with the family, look no further.

Watched it for about 2 hrs tonight in a live stream while I played Minecraft. Go to be honest, I wasn't impressed at all.

The map was too linear. The concept of stocks was too basic. The game did not advance quick enough to my liking. There simply wasn't enough variety in spaces.

Aside from the maps being too linear (kinda required) valid points. The game's not perfect, I find the layout too busy, makes it kinda annoying to have to conciously look at what you want to see, but I stand by my statement of it being good for family and non-gamer friends. Not something I'd ever play single player though.

Yup, it is. Itadaki doesn't even remotely mean fortune.

Nice to finally be able to play an entry, so many times I'd load up a rom (not remembering the name) and be upset cause it looked so fun. Here's another game that got a translation, it's a board game crossed with and rpg, despite it's simplicity, it's really fun:
