Arkham City is a great game
I've heard good things about SR3. It's like GTA but supposedly more creative and customizable
LOTR is supposed to be fun if you're into the series and you can play it with other people
Homefront was not so well received. I heard the online was buggy and stuff but the core game is good. Buyer beware!

Trust me, I've got OnLive working perfectly on a 2001 hp that wasn't even built for games.

Also, I actually bought Deus Ex Human Revolutions for 90 cents the last time they did the one dollar/ pound deal. This works from the US and England.

Accounts are free, the only thing you ever pay for are the games, just like steam. It couldn't hurt to get a new game for a shiny dollar eh?

You can just buy them, get them credited to your Steam account, and then download and play them on your computer whenever you get it running again.

Well honestly I'm not interested in any of the ones mentioned from OnLive. I'd want the Steam games but I don't think that would work, right? I don't wanna waste a bunch of time downloading the client only to find out it won't run.

Your account is not attached to your computer.
Once you have a game attached to your account you can download and play it on any computer you can log into Steam from.

So, you can buy the game now while it's on sale, get it attached to your account, and actually play it when your main computer is fixed again.

Sorry I wasn't clear about my question. I meant does the basic steam client require much of my PC? This laptop is older and was never very powerful.

There is around 150 games available through OnLive, so of course I'm not going to mention them all. There are other really great games, so it can't hurt to give the game a test; every OnLive game has a 30 minute demo.

Just to reiterate, any of their games for $1, and you can trial it before you ever purchase it. No obligations. any game. this is too huge to pass up.

@stevencassidy, I'm not sure about steam, but the publishers have to code up a special OnLive version of the game that's been integrated with their SDK.

Okay, last day for the deal. I cannot stress this enough; one dollar or pound for any game. any. No matter how new, old, whatever, and you won't have to worry about not being able to run it since it is streamed.
