heath bar cake (recipe included)

So my wife introduced me to a recipe for a phenomenal cake. I really, really recommend it.



1. bake a cake. You can use any cake mix really.
2. poke holes in it with the circular end of a wooden spoon or some other circular object. make sure to use a lot of holes.
3. heat up a jar of caramel until liquid-y. pour it all over the cake (yum).
4. Pour a can of unsweetened condensend milk all over as well.
5. leave it for a bit to soak
6. put whip cream and broken heath bars on top.


yeah I'm vague about the measurements but this cake is worth the effort.

Thanks for sharing this recipe with us, Blue.

If I may be so bold, I would recommend buying a carton of actual whipping cream and making it yourself with a fwisk.
Add only about 2 Tbsp sugar gradually, about a tsp at a time periodically while whipping.
When your arms get tired and you need a break just slam it in the fridge for a while and this will aid standing it up.

I made a cake with such whipped cream recently and it was nearly lethal.
Authorities had to be called in to break up the fight over the last of it.

Actually from what I've seen, when it comes to candies and things of that nature it seems to be a regional thing.
For example, here in Canada we have our lovely Ketchup flavor chips:

We have ketchup chips here too you weirdos. I actually love them but no one else I know will even touch them. We also have weird ones like sour cream and clam. One time my dad bought them by mistake, took a big handful while driving down the road, spit them back into the back and poured it out the window in disgust. It was really funny to see.

I think sour cream and clam was a regional one, I only saw it in maine. I assumed it was from canada because maine shares a lot of products with their neighbors to the north.

Yes, I've tried those = not as good as the real thing but interesting, in the same way as those ketchup chips.
BY THE WAY, referring to the picture I posted above:
I forgot to mention that the bag of 'baked' ketchup chips are like Pringles, not real chips but some kind of potato mash extruded - pressed mystery chips.

Oh god no, I tried those general toa's and another flavor by that brand, wings with blue cheese I think, they were both absolutly disgusting. Both in flavour and texture.
