my keyboard port on my motherboard, i guess, died.... none of my keyboards work when i plug them in, so i wont be on minecraft till friday when i can go buy a usb keyboard.... unless if someone knows if there is a fix for it

Are you sure you are plugging it into the keyboard port and not the mouse? Plug it in and then reboot.

you can just by an adapter to make a normal keyboard USB. Online I see them for just a couple bucks. $2 for a singe, ~$10 for one that has connections for both the mouse and keyboard.

@bearhawk i might look in to that once i splice my fav keyboard (i broke the tip)

Did you make sure it was securely plugged in and then reboot? Also try using it in BIOS before windows starts. Should say something like press F12 to enter setup when you first turn it on. That way you can tell if it is a hardware or software problem.

hmmm thanks for the input steven...... but i also have a laptop so that would be a little redundant ;) but on on a happier note, i turned on the computer to see if i could try to get it to work and well...... here we are......... i guess the computer just hated me

Computers work in mysterious ways, Katz.

My HP {stock} mouse just crapped out a couple of days ago - it scared me because I thought I had a virus or malware infection as every page I loaded would immediately shoot down to the bottom of the page.

Middle click and Cursor keys were useless, as I could make the page scroll up with them {eventually, after much eye - straining jumping up and down} but whatever I tried to do with page content automatically shot it down to the bottom AGAIN.
:curse:
Then I got the idea that my keyboard may be dirty, so I turned it upside down and beat the crap out of it {literally}, then popped the Cursor keys off to double check no dirt was in there forcing the 'down' one 'on' - nope, not that either.
{At this point I was kissing my computer goodbye, :'( thinking it was on its last legs}

Then as a final, last - ditch effort to save my computer I tried switching out the mouse with one I {luckily} kept from another, long - dead comp, and it finally came around!

And so here I am today, still able to interact with the great people of Retro Uprising, and enjoy all the great games and other features it has to offer as well!

im using a10$ mouse from k-mart that is a usb one, it works amazingly

That's a bummer, man. You'd think that an update that would require higher system requirements would at least have the graphical features be toggle-able.

Maybe it won't be for a while and in the meantime you can upgrade? If you never upgrade eventually you'll be getting similar messages from other newer games you play.

You're right, it is time to upgrade anyways.
It's going to take a while to get some money together for it though.

In the meantime it doesn't seem to matter much; I can't find a server I can connect to.
