when 1.9 comes out whats the plan for everyone? so far i have no plan myself.

Plan?
I suggest we all build outward from spawn, the way that was done on DB's old server.
Just as long as we start with a good world seed we should be Ok.
Something with an interesting landscape not far from spawn would be nice as this would keep people from getting bored, lost, etc. too soon.

well, i dont know how guardian is gonna set this up for that plan to work,..... i know tenser is gonna make a buddist temple

Well isn't the point of a shanty that you don't get permission from the land owners? It was kind of a rhetorical question I suppose. :)

You can not have a shanty town because you're welcome to build anywhere.

You could build a nice logging town in a near-by forest.

So I'd be welcome to build alongside your house and use it's utilities as my own? I'll have to tell all my friends and family so they can help make the place more lived in.

Nah. Since 1.8 my PC seems to not like hosting. It seems like I can have a small number of people max and that kinda sucks. Might be good for something to change it up though like harder difficulty pvp survival server on weekends.

I will test it out though just in case they make it run a lot better for the official release. Fingers crossed.
