Batman: Arkham City

Anyone else pick this up? I got it on the first day and it is really awesome! They really improved on the faults of Arkham Asylum.

The whole map is so much better because you get to explore and do much more things in the city than the asylum. Also, the fighting is even better now. They tweaked some stuff up and made it better to use in all aspects. New gadgets added to the old ones are cool.

It also seems like they've added more characters than asylum had. I'm only 30% done with the game and have seen about 10-15 villains and about 3-7 other good guys. They've added side missions to the game and of course, The Riddler trophies are as fun as ever.

Overall, I really like what I see so far from the game. Pick it up if you liked the first or just like stealth/action games!

Also, may I add that the leveling system is really good as you can upgrade one thing every time you level up.

I got it but I haven't played it yet. I'll let you know tomorrow how much I love it(and I will love it I'm sure).

Btw with the Catwoman code do you only use her in the challenges or in the story as well?

You use her once at the very beginning and then one time after an hour into the main story (about). Since then, I haven't used her since (the game automatically switches you from Batman to Catwoman).

Well that sucks. I borrowed this game and I don't wanna use up his code on my console. Do you know what happens if you don't use the Catwoman code?

I think the Catwoman code is only for the special Catwoman Mode I haven't played yet and that the code doesn't affect the main story. Not sure though.

Your best bet would probably be looking it up online or something.

Yes he is. Catwoman is not that great to use on the game to be honest. Batman is way stronger and grappling is quicker/easier with Batman. Catwoman uses her whip and you have to like click at certain points to climb the building or whatever you're grappling.

Wow. I already beat the main story. I'm like 45% done with the game and the main story is already finished. The ending for the game was so terrible. It really made me mad. I don't want to spoil anything for you guys but it sucked (to me at least).

You can continue after you beat the game though and you get a thing called Main Story Plus where you play the game again from the beginning, keeping all your gadgets and upgrades to that point, but the enemies are harder and there is no Counter command anymore. Seems hard.

Did you skip side missions much? I'm going through doing all the stuff I can before I hit the end. Btw I thought I heard in new game plus you can use different characters(like Robin) and other batsuits, seen anything about that?

@DB- Actually I'm not sure. Maybe it just doesn't show you the counter command and you have to do it on your own. I didn't hear about Robin but I know you can use different batsuits for game plus.

@Tails- After you beat the game, you unlock several different batsuits which you can use for the main story. I'll probably use Batman Beyond one since it's so cool :p

@DB- Also, I did some of the side missions but after the game, you can still continue. So I'm wrapping up most of the side missions now. I don't think I'll ever have the time to get all the Riddler Trophies @_@

I heard you get it from buying one of those terrible NOS energy drinks(about 2 bucks). If you're interested check the label first and make sure it's got the promotion.

Nope as far as I know the skins are just cosmetic.
