Hello all,
Many apologies if this is not allowed, or is the wrong place for the thread. Hopefully a mod can help me out.
Anyway. I've had the top score for a game called Teddy Boy (http://retrouprising.com/game-menu/?cx=partner-pub-3830747272780728%3Aqdds6b-z5fv&cof=FORID%3A9&q=teddy+boy&sa=Go#850) for a couple of years now but I don't know if the score is any good as I think I'm the only one who plays it.
I loved the game as a kid (I got the game with my SMS, first console game I ever owned!) and it has brilliant gameplay, even today. It's a lot of fun.
I'd like to issue an open challenge. If anyone can beat my score - and I hope someone does - there will be a small prize available (if this is allowed). I'd love to have a target to aim for and I also hope that people can enjoy this game as much as I've enjoyed it over the years.

Doesn't look like a game I'd enjoy playing but I'm sure others will gladly give your high score some competition. Just remember you asked for it! ;)

It's a great little shooter, dude! :)
I hope people do take it on, it would be great to have a little more motivation to try and improve. I'm not a great gamer so fully expect it to go pretty soon.
BTW I haven't forgotten our fascinating discussion elsewhere. I'll pick it up when I'm thinking more clearly :D

I watched a youtube video of it and it really looks kinda boring to me, no offense. Btw I see Tanc already playing it, didn't take long huh?
Since we're issuing open challenges I got one too. Or two, too.

So far only Kong has showed any interest in beating it but I think he might've given up.
Take your time I'm not going anywhere.
I'll give it a shot tomorrow.

.
I played it for a little while, but lost interest.
Meh, I got bored fast. Maybe Elrod will take it down. He doesn't care how boring a game is so long as he gets the gold.

Really surprised you guys didn't like it! The later levels (from six onwards) get a lot more interesting.
All right, I'll give it another go tomorrow then.

I looked at it on youtube, not that keen on it.

try Dragon Crystal again. I want to master it.

Here's a score I want some competition in.

I want to master it too. Btw you can't be part of my challenge. Since you dominated Taloons I know DC is only a matter of time. Even if you master and get first in both versions it won't count for this, sorry.

Hey I've got an awesome game nobody has beaten me on, and it's been a year since anybody has posted a score.
Play it.

Looks like even the devs didn't like the game, URL has all the scores and they're all 0s.

Holy crap.....
Ok, serious moment here.
On 10/13/10, 9:08PM I posted the last high score for that game....I haven't even looked at the game since.
Exactly one year later, on 10/13/11, 10:27PM I made a joke about the getting the high score, without realizing it. I even played a round for fun.
Should I be afraid?

If it was the same down to the minute then I'd be afraid.

You are not suckering me into playing that game again anytime soon SH! But if I ever decide I want to torture myself, I will play it again. :p
As for Teddy Boy, I will have a look but I remember hating this game when I played it on my SMS way back when.

I'll be honest - I've been tempted to go back to it a few times - then I remember the pain!

I wasn't serious guys.
Trust me, 8 loops is not worth it.
When I look at the score board for that game, I notice that all the scores were submitted in a period of 4 days. This surprises me because it felt more like 4 months with all the effort put into that game.
When it was finally over I felt that if I ever fell into hell I could negotiate my release with Satan by demonstrating a pro run of Speed Coin and coaching him how to play like a champ. For serious.

Now that I've figured out the controls, I'll give this an honest try. 8)

I gave Speed King a try. After struggling to figure out how I was supposed to control the cards I thought it was a good, fun game. Simple games often are.
My score was only 34k or so, nothing special, but I enjoyed it and that's what it's all about!
