Hi there folks! in my spare time, I decided to undertake a project in minecraft; and EXTREMELY long rail! the video for it starts out at night, so it's hard to see. Skip forward a minute or two. I love minecraft, so this is my loveletter to the game.

It took a few days of off time. Also, my copy of fraps never recorded sound. I forgot to upgrade :P

aside from that, I actually had to use a world editor to create the section that goes underwater

Well it's a cool video but without sound most people will probably get bored before it's over. Slap something on there and you're good to go. ;)

I've just recently started playing MC myself, and I can see why it's so popular.
But just one thing, shouldn't that massive wall of stone you rolled past have read 'RetroUprising' on its side? :q

How much does this game cost now? I've been meaning to try it but I keep forgetting. Btw BS2 it seems like I saw you playing this on Steam? If so how come there's no MC hats for TF2? :(

Also, I really recommend buying minecraft. to misquote penny arcade, "it's not crack. it's the ingredients you need to make crack. which is worse."

I tried to buy Minecraft before but the card I was using wouldn't let me because the price was listed only in Euros and not US Dollars.

How come I keep seeing my steam thingy saying you are playing Minecraft BS2? I know it's not an exclusive but that does mean you bought it through steam right?

Nope! you can add non-steam games to steam. It usually just lets you access the steam overly in non-steam games so you can keep chatting. unfortunately, the steam overlay doesn't work with minecraft, but it's good for a shortcut.


Also, you could play minecraft full for free until a certain date if you buy the humble indie bundle. it's a name-your-own price game pack. you can play as little as a penny if you want, but they deserve more.

I believe you go to library-> add non-steam game --> find the exe --> ???? ---> profit.

Do you think that would work for a game Steam carries? Like if I added Champions Online would it register it and allow me to get achievements? That'd be cool.

I don't know about achievements, but you could likely just add the game.

Less, I think. The game uses randomly generated maps, so it would depend on whether you spawned on a mountain or in plains/desert. Also, if you've thorughly explored a map it generates more of the map, increasing the size.
