Which title are you guys more excited about? Modern Warfare 3 or Battlefield 3?

To me, MW3 looks like more of the same, while BF3 looks like the next step.

Battlefield for sure. It looks better and the devs said they're really trying to make it stand out from others like COD. MW3 looks like more of the same because they know it will sell regardless. BF has always been the better of the two imo.

We have the same boat. I assume the multiplayer will have command posts, my favorite method of play, but to be honest, I'm kind of interested in just gazing at the graphics.

I'm tired of hearing about Call of Duty as well.
I posted that one as a joke, just to see how well I could exploit the way you phrased it, it actually makes a quite fine template, replace company name, series name/names and the number of sequels and it works every time.
I am actually fond of Mega Man, and I have enjoyed most of the sequels.

Honestly I'm sick of people jumping on the FPS/COD hate bandwagon. I bet most of the people that are very vocal about it haven't even played it very much if at all. Yes COD games are not masterpieces but they are fun and they enjoy ridiculously huge popularity for a reason, people like playing them. Personally I enjoyed the hell out of MW2 before it got ruined by hackers/modders. It's another uncreative military shooter but the gameplay is all that mattered to me. Same with BF games, lots of fun.

So that being said let's not get into that kind of thing here. If you aren't interested in either of these games go talk about it somewhere else.

I've always preferred Halo over CoD. More enjoyable in my opinion. I like Battlefield more than CoD, but not more than Halo. I think it might be because Halo kind of introduced me into the FPS genre.

But, I have played Call of Duty quite a bit, it wasn't bad but, I've played better. And, when that is the only game you hear people talk about over the course of a school year{August/September - June} you get tired of hearing about it.

@chris- I've always preferred Halo too but it's more arcade/fantasy feeling than COD or BF2. I'm not saying that's a bad thing, it's just different. Like how in Halo you can shoot a guy with a whole clip from an automatic weapon and he might not die. But in COD/BF you place a few good shots in someones midsection and they drop.

Halo has them all beat when it comes to vehicles though.

@Chrisp- I have fun with the Halo vehicles but honestly I suck with them and I end up getting blown up. The only one I'm good with is the covenant land vehicle, I forget the name atm maybe the ghost? It's so much fun to floor it and run people over.

Battlefield has better Tanks, imo. When you shoot with them it really feels like there's power. The Halo tanks are meh, scorpion is too OP and the covenant one isn't that great.

My favorite part about Battlefield is the ragdoll physics when you use a tank to blast your opponents. Makes for awesome laughs :lol:

@DB- I forget most of the names. It's been a while since I've played. I believe the Ghost is that one though. The Warthog is fun as hell. One of the levels, you have to use a warthog. I remember playing with my brother and driving off the edge on purpose and getting out just in time. He fell to his death, but I survived :p I got the comedic relief, I'm sure he didn't though lol.

The warthog is really fun for sure. I'm pretty decent with it but it's hard to control the sliding sometimes.

They aren't as dynamic but the vehicles in BF are pretty fun too. The few times I was able to grab a chopper it was a blast. But usually other people would beat me there or one moron would fly off alone and piss everyone off.

No it's not. The bottomline is most players will never even notice the premium service, just like it is with Bungie. That may change down the line but at the moment it's not effecting the game. The only announced feature is stat tracking, as far as I know. That is only for die hard people who obsess over K/D ratios and stuff. Let them blow their money.

Both of these games will probably be fun, though I may not ever play them. I would also probably never admit to liking them, I am tsundere for most modern FPS's.
