Weird PS2 games?

I just got myself a fresh, new slim PS2. The reason I bought it really was because I wanted to play a bunch of weird games I never really heard about when they were new. PS2 era seems like it was a weird time for games, and some very strange things managed to get developed. The other day I picked up Mr. Mosquito and No One Can Stop Mr. Domino (a PS1 game, but regardless) for super cheap. I also bought Dark Cloud, but that's not really that weird.

So I'm wondering if you guys can suggest some weird PS2 games most people probably missed. Stuff like Mr. Mosquito is ideal. Hopefully this thread doesn't fill up full of JRPGs. Japanese games that aren't RPGs are encouraged, however.

Hey TMT, good to hear from you again and I hope things are well with you and yours.

Weird games eh?

Mojo - roll a ball around various 3D mazes and break blocks in a specific sequence to advance to the next, more complex level.
Not a fast - paced puzzle game, but colorful and challenging.
Great to play with kids to develop hand - eye coordination.

Project: Eden - control 4 characters simultaneously {or individually in some instances} in this first person futuristic mystery/puzzle game that plays like a FPS {with very little actual FPS action in it}.
Switch between characters to utilize their individual attributes as needed.
A well done game with a very interesting storyline ... and I'm at stuck at one part and don't know what to do next.:at-wits-end:

I also bought Dark Cloud, but that's not really that weird.

Dark Cloud is kind of weird. The Dark Genie was weird, the whole city building paired with dungeon crawling was kind of weird.


Baroque is a strange one, at least plot-wise and aesthetically. The plot advances by a somewhat strange method. It has some RPG mechanics, but it isn't really an RPG. It is apparently a remake of a Japan only PSX/Sega Saturn game.
