Appreciating Retro Uprising.

For years, I've wondered if there was a website that would let you play all of the best video games from the past and then I stumbled upon RU. I had the opportunity to relive childhood moments with games such as Sonic the Hedgehog, Street Fighter 2010, and Toxic Crusaders. I want to thank everyone who created this website for gamers everywhere. I appreciate you guys a whole lot. Thanks for making one of my dreams come true! :in-love: :D

Before I came to retro uprising, I couldn't find a way to play games like earthbound. I couldn't even buy an snes and order earhbound, because it cost like 100 dollars. Then I came across retro uprising. Now I can play Earthbound and tons of other games! Then at school I told a bunch of these guys about how awesome old games were, SNES games or N64 games, like earthbound and super mario 64! But their responses were "Dude, old games are stupid. aren't N64 games like rectangles? Eartbound is stupid!" I was like "WHAT is wrong with these people?!" I told them that new doesn't mean it's better! I mean, 3DS games can suck, too! Then they were like, "Dude, 3DS games are awesome! old games are stupid!" Then I realized that they were just a bunch losers who didn't understand the quality of old games. I am so glad I'm not bad like them!

I find that story funny because most of the big titles coming out from Nintendo are sequels to these old games.

Nope. We've have a few members who are pretty young. One was even a mod at 11 years old I think, but he was a special case.

Anyway, I also would like to thank Kong and the mods for making this site as successful and awesome as it is!! I would not be able to play all tons of awesome games if it wasn't for this site :) Also thanks to Tails for referring me here haha. Also thanks to the members for supporting the site for so long! (There, I think that's appreciative to everyone :p)

by the way kong, could you add a nintendo 64 section, starting with super mario 64?

There's a 10 year rule that Kong follows that he can only upload systems 10 years after it went out of production, so the last game to be made begins the 10 year rule. I think this year or next year is when N64 can be added since 2001 or 2002 was the last year when a N64 game was made. Even then, the N64 is a little more complicated than the other systems, so it might be hard to get it onto Retro Uprising.
