Upcoming Game Excitement!

What upcoming games you are looking forward to? Do you get excited about yet to be released games and just need to tell people? Here you can list them, talk about them, say why you think they look good, show trailers etc.

A few games I'm looking forward to are:

Aero-Cross (Xbox 360) After being a big fan of the bizzare Metro-Cross I was shocked when I found out about the sequel, after looking at the trailer I can see it keeps gameplay true to the original but brings it to the 21st century which looks cool

Pac-Man & Galaga Dimensions (3DS) I don't actually have a 3DS yet but I'm hopefully going to get one soon. Pac-Man Tilt looks cool, I've always liked Pac-Platformers like Pac-Land and Pac-Man World, and after seeing this I'm very happy, It's actully 2D so it has a classic retro feel to it but it controls with tilt controls, a good mash up of old and new.

Anyway before I ramble on about any more upcoming games I want, what games are everybody else looking forward to?

Team Ico Collection: Ico and Shadow of the Colossus in HD for the PS3. I have SOTC but never played Ico. Buying the collection is cheaper than hunting down Ico

They've released very little info about the game. Apparently you have to treat the creature well so he bonds with you over time. They also stressed it has a mind of it's own and will not always listen to you or do what you want it to.

Though I've never played Ico I kind of know what it's like from seeing videos and talking to a friend of mine who has played it. I kind of hope they mix Ico and SOTC into one game. I'd like to see how that works.

I really regret never playing ICO or SOTC. Both looked really cool but I just never got around to renting them and I don't like buying games that are so linear. Really sucks that this new one is PS3 exclusive, guess I won't play it either. Maybe one day they'll all be released in an awesome download pack and I'll try it. If you play it let us know how it is.

Akira Toriyama has been the lead designer for the series since the original DQ, changing the designs to it would be the equvilant to changing the designs of the DBZ characters mid series. (in case you arnt familiar, Toriyama does both DBZ and DQ, and it's not some ripoff)

I know it's not a rip off and he's been doing this for years but with the ability for games to show good graphics it's become very noticeable. So instead of making the character models look different in some way they decided to just go with the DBZ look, even the powering up thing. I think it sucks and looks really stupid. You're ok with the protagonist having that ridiculously huge spiky hair?

I mean the characters looking like DBZ rejects is more noticeable now. It's like when a book is made into a movie and the character is completely not what you pictured. It may be what the author intended but it still looks dumb.

Regarding the DQ designs, if they ever changed I would probably turn my back on the series. The designs make up such a huge part of the atmosphere of the game, for me it would instantly be ruined.

I'm just talking about the protagonists, they usually look just like a protagonist from DBZ. I have no problem with the monsters, the world, ect. It's the stupid expressions and even stupider hair on the main players. But like I said I can deal with it and still enjoy the game. It's just annoying.

You were stuck with the default in the last DQMJ, this is a case where I don't mind the hideous hair and DBZ look, it suits the rest of the game, and I can't think of any style I would prefer. I shutter thinking about DQ getting the Final Fantasy treatment.

Agreed on the FF thing, that would be a tragedy. I guess I would be ok if they just stopped with the damn hair nonsense. But it's Japan, they love this kind of thing.

Agreed, anyway I reccomend the game to anyone. I hold the original DQMJ in as high a regard as DQ8 or 9.

I am looking forward to one game, and one game alone.
The PSP port of Persona 2: Innocent Sin is getting an official translation and is going to be released in the United States. It is supposed to be enhanced, like the other Persona games that were ported to the PSP. It's not that I didn't enjoy the fan-translation, it just irritated me at some points. I ended up playing it on my PSP anyway, even though it was a PSX game, playing it on the PSP did lead to some glitches and whatnot.

It is set to release on the twenty-first of September.

I really can't wait for Metro: Last Light. When the devs made Metro 2033 they expressly said they weren't working to the best of their ability, and still resulted in a fun, immersive, and suprisingly scary game. They are putting their full effort in Metro: last Light, so I really think it's going to be fun.

So I got my Nintendo Power two days ago and it had reviews for Kirby Mass Attack and Solatorobo. I excitedly that assumed that those games were released and up for sale.

Having a lack of cash, I cashed in my coin jar for 90$. Then went to Gamestop, didn't see either of them on the shelf.

I checked their release date book.
