No what I said makes perfect sense. You're talking about two different things. In most modern societies we all agree that consent is the most important part of legally deciding who can have sex. If you tried to make the argument that you should be allowed to have sex with a brain dead person because cows don't consent to being slaughtered you'd be a laughing stock, rightfully so.
