OK, so here's my situation. I tried a high score run for Contra III: The Alien Wars for SNES. My graphics were not working right and my suspicions were dead on when I was notified my high score was deleted to a low FPS.

I use both snes9x and ZSNES, and they work great on my computer. Also, I use MAME, and that does not work as well.
The situation is the other way around when I play on Retro Uprising. I even used the graphics options and that did not help.

I am wondering, is the FPS dip due to the SNES games, or due to my computer? I would like some help so I may play SNES games without my high scores being deleted. My thanks in advance to all who help.

SNES is known to be stronger, especially on the internet. Not sure if it's GFX or just processor, but for my laptop, I have to put it in high performance just to play some SNES, while my desktop can run even the most hardest games for most people.

I've replaced my computer and now my problem is solved. I guess that old Dell 2400 was long overdue for retirement.
