I decided to do my own run of Pokemon since Cam's idea influenced me enough to do my own. I won't be doing it the same way Cam is doing it though. I'm going to do the "If a Pokemon faints, it must be released" rule but I'm going to be getting any Pokemon I choose. (Cam is a brave man for doing what he's doing :p)

I'll keep you guys updated. My run and the purpose of this topic is more like a blog rather than what Cam's doing (Props go to him for influencing me to do it, so go check out his topic!!)

Pallet Town: The Journey Begins...
Let's try this one more time :p My name is still Chris, and Dick is still Dick, haha. Oak is so senile, he doesn't even know his granson's name lol. My mom still says her encouraging words, basically kicking me out at the age of 10, unsupervised to make creatures fight each other to the death. Remind me to get a "Mother of the Year Award" pin at the PokeMart >_> Alright, time to head up into the patch only to be dragged back to Oaks. The fat kid outside his house...of course he likes technology. I think he needs to invest in a treadmill. Of course he'll probably end up breaking it o.o Hmm, this time I'll pick Squirtle. Dick picked Bulbasaur. Time for my first Poke battle.

First Battle! Chris vs. Dick (Match 1)
Go Chuck! Chuck prevailed, taking out Bulbasaur using tackle :p He also leveled up to 7. First battle went well. Now to Route 1 again.

Route 1:


My Pokemon Blue froze and I lost like an hour of my game!! XD So I'm basically back at the beginning. I also decided to switch to Leaf Green.

Route 1: 2 Kids, a Pidgey, and a Rattata
Found two kids on Route 1. One of them was a delivery boy..or girl...not sure. Anyway, I got a potion from them and the other kid was strange. He told me about jumping ledges but then he said they were too "scary" and "high". Hmm...those 1 foot jumps are killer *rolls eyes*. Anyway, pummeled a Pidgey and Rattata and got to Lv 7. Time for Viridian City.

Viridian City: Part 1
I enetered Viridian City and healed. Also talked to the locals but not that much to do. Only ineteresting guy is the old dude who lies down and blocks the way b/c he can't have his coffee he "needs" so badly. Damned addicts!! To the left is the path before Victory Road and Dick, so I'll wait a little bit and fight him later. Anyway, I went to the PokeMart and the creepy salesperson somehow knew me. That's not weird at all o.o Well, I got the Parcel and now its time to head back to Pallet. There, I got the Pokedex from Oak. I bashed Dick with my Pokedex and bolted out. I also stole a Map from Dick's sister, haha! Next, it's back to Viridian to catch some Pokemon and train.

Viridian City: Part 2
Got back to Viridian with the Pokedex and the Map. Grinded a bit and caught a Pidgey named Duncan at lv 3 and a Rattata named Jeff at lv 3 as well. Grinded some more and leveled them all. Also caught a Mankey named Jed at lv 5. Grinded a lot until I decided to beat the crap out of Dick again. I healed after that and went up to Viridian Forest. Sure enough, the old coffee addict stopped me to teach me how to catch Pokemon, which I already knew how to. He gave a useless Teachy TV and I went into Viridian Forest.

Viridian Forest: Caterpie, Weedle, and Kakuna oh my!
With four Pokemon, I entered the forest. I wiped out all the trainers and there pathetic bug pokemon there. I also caught a Caterpie named Bert and lv 4 and a Weedle named Burt at lv 4. Got the items in the forest and grinded a bit more. I left the Viridian Forest with a full set of Pokemon, most of them inflicted with poison and barely alive.

Route 2: Not Much Here
Basically just passed through to get to Pewter City. I'll come back here later to just go through Pewter and Viridian Forest.

Pewter City: Part 1
Here I healed and talked to the locals who gave me useless "advice". Also went to the museum which was a waste of time. Some nerd at the right won't let me pass until I beat Brock. So, I went and beat the first trainer in Brock's gym but then headed back to Viridian Forest to grind some more. I leveled everyone up, including Bert who evolved into Metapod! I'll probably keep him a little while but I'll get rid of Burt once he becomes a Beedrill. Anyway, now it's time to face Brock!

Yeah, I should have done that! Darn :p I chose Burt b/c I caught Caterpie first and named him Bert. I was like "Hmm...what should I name it?....Burt." Haha, I wasn't going to use him anyway though.
