Good for him. Hope they didn't jump him for it later.

I heard he got suspended for 4 days, but now he's an internet celebrity.

Oh my god. that kid is so lucky if that smaller kid had gotten really hurt by that there would be big trouble. The kid getting picked on would be in bigger trouble then the bully. Yes I know that the smaller kid punched him and yes I know that the boy was just defending himself but the school would not see it that way. The school would take it as that yes he got hit and yes he only did it to defend himself but he got carried away and did not have to take it that far it is his fault that this boy got hurt. Now I'm not saying that bullying is right and acceptable cause it is definitely not in my book but all I'm saying is to think before you act two wrongs don't make a right. At least that's what happens at the school that I work at

Nice, just cuz you're quiet doesn't mean you don't have the strength to kick ass.

From what I heard from the story, the smaller kid had been bullying the bigger kid for months. I think its better than the bigger kid holding it inside then finally snapping and bringing a gun to school. Yes it was a spur of the moment thing, yes, the bigger kid should be punished, but to quote Chris Rock, "I don't necessarily agree with it, but I understand."

Both kids were suspended 4 days, I think that was a fair punishment, plus, both kids are alive to see another day. I will  in my mouth if lawyers get involved.

Umm, I thought small kids were supposed to be smart enough to not bully big kids. Something seems wrong, like we're not getting the whole story.

Just because you're bigger, doesn't mean you can't be bullied. Kids can be very cruel if you are different than the "norm".

Hmmm, well if there wasn't any more to it, then that's probably wasn't the first time that kid was dropped on his head. When I was in school I never saw any small kids try anything like that.

They could be Middle School students, I've seen people use wrestling moves in fights back in school.

Actually if you watch the video the little guys bigger friend tries to go after the kid getting bullied after it happens but that tall girl gets in the way.

I used to see that all the time growing up. One little puke who had bigger friends bullying other kids because they are afraid of their friends.

Dudebro
03-19-2011, 03:40 PM
I think Elrod nailed it. This little punk was acting tough because he had back up. If he was solo he might've just talked trash and kept walking. Plus someone was filming so he had to act like he was badass. I wish he got hurt more, he really deserves it.

samejamesbond
03-19-2011, 03:56 PM
I didn't notice that until you pointed that out elrod.

The kid is going to be interviewed by some Australian News Network for his act of courage.

I heard 4chan jumped all over the kid and is turning him into an internet hero, much like they
did to Captain Falcon and Chuck Norris.

I once saw a video that was Marvel vs. Capcom 3 in place of Street Fighter. (With the voices
of Mike Haggar in stead of Zangief) If anyone finds it could they post it, I loved that vid.

That smaller kid totally deserved it. You bully someone, you will eventually get what's coming to you.
Oh, and it's "pile-driven", not "piledrived".

Yeah I was a big kid in middle school and some littler kids picked on me, when they were with there friends. It was rough but it only lasted a year really, high school was better.

The common belief seems to be Male = Aggression.
It becomes even worse for kids if their peers are watching {and worse still if the girls are watching!}

Even back when I was a kid there was this sense that if you're male you have to be tough and rough and blow the house down.

I'm sure most of us here would agree that it just isn't so.
A man has many layers, like an onion.

Along the lines of the topic, one of the toughest people I ever met was a guy even smaller than myself - he competed for Canada in the 1992 Barcelona Tae Kwon Do championships.

It used to be that way. Now it seems like it's universal, lots of stories about girls beating each other up and ganging up on each other. That really didn't happen when I was in school. We had a couple of girl fights but it was mostly hair pulling, yelling and fake nails all over the floor.

Well, I wonder if they'll start fighting in the U.F.C. or M.M.A. to prove what tough guys they are. :beat-up:

They already have fighting sports like that for women but it's yet to really take off. I think some people are still stuck on the idea that women can't fight or shouldn't be aggressive.
YouTube - Best women's mma knokcouts
The first one isn't the best example though.

Similar situation for me, except it started in the fifth grade. I am not normally an aggressive person, yet I found myself in a few fights. The worst though was when some jerk threw a lead pipe at the back of my head when I was walking home from school. That hurt, bad. That kid had one hell of an arm, he should be a pitcher or a quarter-back.

Not too badly, but I seem to get headaches of more severity and frequency as compared to before.
Funny thing is, we became pretty good friends about a year later, but then I moved away and rarely have I seen him since, he apologizes for it quite often.

Well, this same scenario happened to me, this kid who was a freshmen (think I was a sophmore) picked on me a lot. One time I had enough went up to him picked him up, slammed him down in the teacher's desk DURING CLASS and beat him up. I didn't even get into trouble and to this day he now sucks up to me O_o

I think the punishment is on point for the puncher and the slammer, but was light for everyone else involved. There is clearly a bigger kid that gets in the face of the kid that was getting bullied. Thats 1. Then there is the kid that is recording the whole thing. My guess is was he was recording the act of bullying to continue the humiliation of the guy getting bullied. Thats 2. So basically, we have 3 kids that are in involved with coercion and conspiring to bully this kid.

Dudebro

Ya know you don't have to be turned on by women whenever you see them right?

@Jim- I agree and I'm surprised those other kids didn't get in trouble. It seems like even the hint of bullying gets kids in trouble today but somehow not this time.

Kugyince
03-20-2011, 03:25 PM
I wasn't referring to it as in a sexual turn off, just something that I don't enjoy. You know, not everything involving women has to be sexual, right?

I think it was because it was of two minors fighting each other.

I doubt it was just because they were fighting. Violence is ok on Youtube, it was probably a complaint from the family of one of the kids.

Yeah, but that bump on the right-hand side of the back of my skull, right near the base, close to where the spinal column connects does sometimes make me wish I had picked up that lead pipe and bashed him to oblivion.

But still, most videos of violence between under age kids doesn't get touched until someone reports it. Like SJB said there's other memes about it still up and running.
