Btw Kong you could look for some of those learning programs where aspiring dentists essentially learn by doing work on you. It sounds iffy but I know someone who did it and it cost much less than normal, I forget how much but the difference was significant.

Thankfully that group seems to get larger everyday in response to people like her. The way I see it we now have two conservative parties on the republican side, bat spit crazy and normal people. Since we're talking politics ... {you knew this was coming, so hold on tight}
Politics as we know them, meaning the electoral process we've been born into and recognize as the vehicle of Democracy, has been hijacked decades ago.
{Youtube: George Carlin 'Who really controls America' for a brief synopsis}
But then, modern 'Democracy' isn't such a great thing right now because it's like two wolves and a sheep voting on what's for dinner.
That's one of the main reasons it has failed us so miserably.
We don't want or need Democracy, we need Republics - by and for the people - or at least something like it.
{but not like the New World Orders' testing ground, China}
No matter what the new social order, Universal Equality for all Humans must be the rule without exception, and never again under totalitarian rule by manipulative elites.
Moving to an Agrarian - based economy wouldn't be a bad idea, either.
Democracy got its final nail in the coffin when Private Central Banks introduced the Fractional Reserve Banking system, and their owners {powerful offshore banking cartels} began systematically taking over governmental offices through financial persuasion.
I grew 50% more gray hair recently when I learned that a Rockefeller {one of the most evil families on Earth} was once a Vice President - this is akin to learning a cobra was in charge of the chicken coop - but it makes a lot of historical sense when you think about it.
Now they're saying the only way for us to 'save ourselves' is to hand the World's financial matters completely over to them and surrender to their S.D.R. - Special Drawing Rights Scam, which is the cashless society they've been steering us towards all along.
To clarify this particular aspect, the same families who worked to put us all under the yoke of Fractional Reserve Banking are now getting ready to reap the rewards of their ancestors' 'work'.
Under this new system, citizens can expect to hand over up to 80% of their income directly to the Banksters {due to the plethora of new taxes introduced in the name of the Global Carbon Taxation Scam and the inevitable increase in the cost of living they are bringing} , who will then 'decide' on the value they will place on a given country's S.D.R. rates, and this is how they will give the virtual money value.
... and while the World continues to argue the moot aspects of political alignment, They gain more ground, because their distraction tactic has worked perfectly for generations now:
'You can't fight City Hall ... Death and Taxes ... don't talk about Politics or Religion ... this is all the equivalent of enemy propaganda rolling across the picket line.
Lay down, G.I. , lay down, G.I., we saw it all through the 20th century, and now in the 21st century it's time to stand up and realize that we should not allow ourselves to be crammed into this rat maze; we should not submit to de - Humanization.
I don't know about you, but I'm concerned about what's happening in this World.
I'm concerned with the structure, I'm concerned with the systems of control, those that control my life, and those that seek to control it even more!
I want Freedom, that's what I want, and that's what you should want!
It's up to each and every one of us to turn loose just some of the greed, the hatred, the envy, and yes, the insecurities - because that is the central mode of control:
To make us feel pathetic, small, so we'll willingly give up our Sovereignty, our Liberty, our destiny.
We have got to realize that we're being conditioned on a mass scale.
Start challenging this Corporate Slave State!
The 21st Century is going to be a new century, not the century of slavery, not the century of lies and issues of no significance, of Class - ism, State - ism, and all the rest of the modes of control ...
It's going to be the Age of Humankind, standing up for something pure and something right!
What a bunch of garbage:
Liberal/Democrat, Conservative/Republican - it's all there to control you, two sides of the same coin!
Two management teams bidding for control of the C.E.O. job of Slavery Incorporated!
The truth is out there in front of you, but they lay out this buffet of lies .. I'm sick of it, and I'm not gonna take a bite out of it, do you got me?
Resistance is not futile, we're gonna win this thing, Humankind is too good, we're not a bunch of underachievers, we're gonna stand up and we're gonna be Human Beings!
We're gonna get fired up about the real things, things that matter: creativity and the dynamic Human Spirit that refuses to submit!
Well that's all I got to say, it's in your court ...'

You guys don't need to be that worried about Palin getting elected. Here are a couple of reasons why.
1. I think the political equation is As the closer you get to election, the candidate becomes more moderate. The problem with this is that Palin is so right wing to being with, in order for her to appear moderate, she is basically going to have to flip-flop...and John Kerry knows how well that worked out.
2. This country literally just got to the point where we were ready to elect a black man president, in no way, shape, or form, do I think the majority of people of this country are psychologically ready to elect a woman.
3. Everyone pretty much acknowledges that she is nuts.
I think Palin was put on the ticket in 08 for the same reason that the democrats put Geraldine Ferraro on the ticket with Walter Mondale in 84, they knew they were going to lose the election, so they put her in to basically appear to be progressive. Seriously? What business did the wack job governor of Alaska have being on the national stage?
@Kong...Palin has a medical degree you know, maybe she can be your dentist.
http://www.babble.com/CS/blogs/famecrawler/2008/09/08-15/newsweek-palin.jpg
Languages are supposed to evolve. It is silly to fight it and claim that people people are stupid when they allow the language to update itself.
"it would be cheaper/funner to ..." makes more sense than "it would be cheaper/more fun to..."
Aluminum is the original name. It was later updated to aluminium because it is technically more accurate. Most of the world adopted the new name but America was already purchasing a lot of the stuff under the original name so we didn't change.
@Jim @2 so you think our country is more sexist than racist?
I think we are ready for another combo breaker. I think just as many people that would not vote for her simply because she is a woman would vote for her for the same reasons - a wash.
While I have reached the point of political hopelessness that I could vote for a president full of fail just for curiosities sake, I am not to that point with my teeth and a dentist dentist yet. So Pallin can run for office but she has to stay out of my mouth.
jim5cents

Yes, I think America is more sexist than racist. Woman's sufferage and the rights granted to them have been around for almost 100 years while civil rights were granted 50 years ago. More headway has been made on the issue of race during that time than since the 1910's.
Black men have generally high salaries than white women (Source http://nces.ed.gov/pubs2002/2002170.pdf)
Interestingly though, Asian women make more than black men. First female president of Asian descent perhaps?
In the workplace at least, it still appears that sex is more than a determining factor than race.
So, yes, I think we are much more progressive when it comes to race. Do I think we will eventually have presidents that are female, or non-christian (practicing), and/or homosexuals? Sure, just not yet.
So Pallin can run for office but she has to stay out of my mouth.
I'm sure more than a few people would find a way to turn that into a sexist remark.
I agree that we are more sexist than racist but I think Hillary and Pallin at least had a shot at making it even if in the end they do not.
We are a long long ways a way from a non-christian or a homosexual president.

Hillary I do think was a legit candidate. She has the pedigree, but like I said, we, as a country, aren't there yet.
Palin really has no business being on the national stage, I think her show on Discovery and her kid going on Dancing with the Stars kinda proves it. Grabbing at exposure while she getting her little long than 15 minutes.

Hilary Clinton sabotaged herself by being Bill Clintons wife and be having the personality of a cactus. Not to say she's unelectable, she's certainly qualified and has lots of experience. I just think people aren't ready to elect a strong, tough business woman. Notice how lots of people like Palin because she's supposedly a down to earth mom type? Speaks volumes about how people feel when it comes to female candidates.
That being said I think if Palin got elected instead of Clinton it'd be a big insult. Palin has no business being anywhere near high office, she hasn't earned it. Clinton has put in years and years of work and has practical experience with the office from being first lady.
I would give homosexuals at least 75 years, Non-Christian...that is a tough one...I'll say 100...first will likely be Jewish.
I'd say those numbers are kinda low. I think it'd be more like two generations before people are tolerant enough for gays or the non christian. That's pretty sad too.

It's all a sham, an elaborate scheme to dupe people into believing they have some choice in the matter.
http://img.1001stages.com/img/img_rubriques/hd/137.jpg
'Politicians' {those 'in power'} are no different than these marionettes: they do what they are made to do, and have no real voice of their own.
They serve as distraction from those holding the controls, making the real decisions that affect our lives, while the puppets are there to take the flak, announce the next stage of the agenda, and deliver speeches intended to conjure a feeling of National Identity.
This is why no matter how many letters or e - mails are sent to your local governments, no matter how people protest, things simply do not change.
Honest Politicians {people who make down - to - Earth proposals that actually make sense, like ending the U.S. Federal Reserve} never get 'in power' and also have their fellow 'representatives' doing things like slamming their shoe on the table in the House of Commons while they're trying to make a point during hearings.
They are the ones we want, the ones we need.
But since they're not on the take of the Bankster/N.W.O. machine, and aren't members of Banking families {like most of the ones 'in power', who are mostly C.F.R./I.M.F. members} there is literally zero chance of them being allowed into office.
So while the system would have worked, it's been hijacked by Banking families and their cohorts.
This is why democracy must be modified to prevent this sort of thing from taking place, because as it is it can never work.

The embargo was started prior to the missle crisis due to Castro's policy of "nationalizing" US citizens and businesses that were in Cuba. Nationalizing is political talk for kidnapping and stealing.

@Ninja no offense taken and I didn't think you were calling me stupid, nor would I have cared if I thought you had.
What do you think the language will sound like when those 12 year olds grow up? When I was a kid my teachers spent hours drilling into our head that it was "Tenser and I". Now if you say that you sound pompous.
@Tenser. Wrong. What necessities do you mean?
There is nothing wrong with accepting language change. It is natural and inevitable and to fight it is a waste of your energy. Why would languages evolve for the entire time that they have been spoken and then just stop when you were born? Why should you care if language continues to change?
@Fun.
The reason why your teacher said it is supposed to be more fun instead of funner is because fun was originally only a noun and superlatives are only for adjectives and adverbs. But, as language changed, fun also became an adjective.
Language has already changed so much that you had forgotten fun should only be used as a noun and you were only using "more" out of blind faith in half a rule. Language should not be about blind faith in rules.
 I just went back and reread the original sentence. :foot-in-mouth: I used cheap and fun both as nouns. That does make my argument weaker, but I still say it is not wrong simply because your teacher said it was.
Officially both should have used "more" instead of "er". However no one seemed to notice that cheaper was as officially incorrect as funner.
Saying "how fun is this" and "this is so fun" and "it wouldn't have been as fun without you" are all using fun as an adjective and are as officially incorrect as saying funner. Do you have a problem with "that is a fun game"?
If your teach had not drilled you on more fun, would you care? Why?

I've talked to people that visited Belize and they didn't mention extra hostility to US compared to anywhere else in the world. Just wear a canadian flag pin and start saying aye and 'bout.
The big pluses for New Zealand and Belize is you don't have to learn a new language and their tropical paradises.
Belize is about the size of California but has something like 8 times as many species as all 50 states combined. It has islands, beaches, jungles and Mayan ruins.
New Zealand has the highest ratio of quailty of life / cost of living in the world. Great weather, low pollution, islands, plus it looks just like Middle Earth.

Nah. I heard that stereotype before the South Park movie (that was before I knew any Canadians).
NSFW
Wayne Gretzky came home after a road trip and found his wife, Janet Jones, naked on the bed. He proceeded to give her oral sex. When finished, Janet said, "Messy, eh?" He said, "No Honey, it's me, Wayne."
Now that I know actual Canadians, those from Western Canada...Alberta, Manatoba, BC, they say "Eh?" all of the time. They also mispronounce bagel...saying "Bag-El", instead of "Bay-gull".

I don't know if I qualify as an 'actual' Canadian, being half Native, but I do not say 'eh' all the time, and then it's mostly when I'm joking about that whole saying 'eh' thing.
About is 'Ah - bout' {not BOOT}, Bagel is 'Bay - gul' {only ONE 'l'}, and so far as 'being Canadian' in the sense that I should somehow fit a stereotype and do and say certain things, I don't.
No more than Americans all having 'twangs' to their speech, saying 'Whelp,' at the beginning of sentences, constantly pound down beer and burgers {or burritos}, or whatever other stereotypes associated with 'being American'.

Exactly.
I probably do say 'eh' and 'aboot' from time to time but don't notice it, eh?
I often wonder what English people think of all this; even in the U.K. there seem to be different dialects.
So it gets me to wondering:
Exactly what is it that causes this phenomenon, and how did it begin?
What I mean is, how is it that a person can have a 'Newfoundland' or 'Native' or 'California' or 'Australian' {or any other English speaking group who speak in a particular way} accent, over such a long time and spanning generations?
Why do people from certain areas of the World speak in slightly uniform ways?
???

I don't know, but I have heard the theory that the American Southern accent was once much more widespread throughout the American colonies, the Boston/New England accent developed later.
RU Joe
02-27-2011, 09:53 PM
I think I see what you're saying, that it comes as an accent from original Colonists, am I right?
For a lot of common accents I think that's likely to be the case.
In other cases {such as the New York City accent}
http://pwned.com/gamecovers/nintendo/2e3c879737ba49eafc99e50b92749e71-The_Bugs_Bunny_Birthday_Blowout.jpg
... and I know that there is no accent except to ears not from New York City, but that's exactly what I'm getting at.
I get the idea that at some point, somebody iconic began speaking in a certain way that people enjoyed or found amusing, and it caught on from there, in the way nicknames for places do.
What do you think?

Works for me, though I guess it doesn't have the magic of "You can't legally get here from the United States" like Cuba does.
Oh, and New Zealand looks like Middle Earth, because the Lord of the Rings movies were filmed there, if I remember correctly.

I don't think she's said anything about nuking people but she did recently make critical remarks about Obamas stance on the unrest in Egypt and Libya. In her opinion we should move in and "help" them deal with their own revolutions. She has no sense and just repeats what her crazy fans wanna hear, us vs them. Someone like her would most likely escalate the tensions in the world and cause a nuke exchange, that's what I meant.

Revolutions wrap up much more nicely when no outside nations are involved. You see, if we help with the revolution, we feel we are entitled to take the majority of the power, and if multiple countries end up helping you end up with the splitting of Germany again. We all know how well that went for everyone.

I tend to think of them as Regional Managers governing the various sub - regions of the Earth for the Banksters and their cohorts, who really run the whole show.
The Regional Managers are there primarily to take flak from the public as they announce the next stage of the {Bankster} agenda, or as seen in the video above, to function as perpetually - looped living propaganda machines.
You know what this situation reminds me of?
That part in 'THX 1138' where he goes to the 'confession booth' {of sorts} to speak with God about his problems, and all you hear is an obvious recording repeating:
'Yes, I see.' , 'Please continue.' , 'I understand', etc, etc, talking over him, oblivious ...
this is the level of attention paid to the valid and imperative needs and concerns of the Citizenry which Governments are displaying on a Global scale.
What good is Government that doesn't listen to its own people?
They're letting us all slide off into Oblivion, and when we gather to demonstrate or protest they send in the riot police.
If we ask questions or speak out then we're labeled as 'Kooks', 'Conspiracy Theorists' or even 'with Al Queda'{Terrorists}
{labeling people de - Humanizes them, making it psychologically easier for others to join in ridiculing them},
or else they repeat 'Get a life', 'Can you read a newspaper?' {most are owned and controlled by the Banksters, so they control most of the information you get to see or hear, TV too} or plain old 'Shut up'.
The teleprompter - reading puppets on TV keep repeating this mantra {as they have for over a decade now} to reinforce and embed it into our collective psyche:
We are the ultimate authority on absolutely everything, and we never lie.
Only people we name as experts on a given subject are to be given any attention, and others opposing their claims are to be labeled.
Government is there to take care of you, but you must not question or criticize it.
This is good.
If you notice the Government engaging in evil, you saw nothing.
You wouldn't want to be labeled, would you?

I'm absolutely certain that's what they are, and closing our eyes to the threat will not make it go away.
I'm scared as hell of all this, and I wish that it weren't true, but so far I see no reason to think differently.
I feel I need to clarify something for those not familiar with my rants:
When I talk politics, I often alternate between using typical political distraction jargon
{opposing multi - party political systems, the empty distinctions like national identity, and the all - important unspoken imperatives thereof; eg: if you're not with US, you must be with THEM},
then speaking of the 'Banksters' and the New World Order we all can see forming around us in plain and simple terms.
This comment I made about Governors being Regional Managers is an example of this, so I thought I should explain.
Democracy seems to be merely a veneer, a shell, a cover, a mask for the true power behind our 'elected' officials.
Not unlike our old friend, the Wizard of Oz:
http://3.bp.blogspot.com/_ZiPiXEv_Q_g/TMrIMcFIb2I/AAAAAAAADMA/YjsrJiwo9NA/s1600/wizard-of-oz-man-behind-the-curtain1.jpg
'LOOK! It really is the Globalist Banking families!'
So I tend to speak of them in real terms whenever possible, but also use the political distraction jargon to clarify the meaning since that's what most people seem familiar with {unfortunately}.
Side note:
They actually want to name the new World currency the 'BANCOR'
HOW much more obvious do things need to get?
The derivatives scams, the corporate bailouts, the seemingly 'untouchable' elitist class pushing all of this, including the formation of the One World Government ...
