I've been playing rpg's for about 20 years and am getting burned out on the regulars. I need to play one I never played before but dont feel like paging through this massive library.
Can any of you game wizards do some name dropping and give me some ideas?

Ogre Battle The March Of The Black Queen (http://retrouprising.com/game-menu/game/2768/) » Super Nintendo (http://retrouprising.com/game-menu/super-nintendo/)
Tactics Ogre: Let Us Cling Together (http://retrouprising.com/game-menu/game/10739/) » Super Nintendo (http://retrouprising.com/game-menu/super-nintendo/)

Before I go on, could you name a few that you've already played so we don't recommend those?

That would be a huge list but I dont think I played the second one you mentioned.

Lots of great ones mentioned already and Kongs linked list contains even more. I'll just link the ones not directly mentioned yet, most are from my favorites list.

Retro Uprising - Arcade - Destiny of an Emperor (http://retrouprising.com/game-menu/game/1019/)
Might be hard to get used to at first. Set in the Three Kingdoms period in China.

Retro Uprising - Arcade - Inindo Way Of The Ninja (http://retrouprising.com/game-menu/game/1815/)
Unusual RPG about feudal Japan during the time of Oda Nobunaga. Does share the same level up, explore dungeon thing with most RPGs but it's definitely worth trying to see an RPG about being a ninja and working for/against different historical rulers. Your actions can even influence who gains what territory.

Retro Uprising - Arcade - Might And Magic III Isles Of Terra (http://retrouprising.com/game-menu/game/2455/)
First person RPG that is loaded with content. It has a steep learning curve but it is rewarding if you get the hang of it.

Retro Uprising - Arcade - Pirates! Gold (http://retrouprising.com/game-menu/game/2988/)
Pirate RPG. Do I need to say more? ;) Oh yeah, it's also score enabled!

Retro Uprising - Arcade - Shadowrun (http://retrouprising.com/game-menu/game/3497/)
Awesome RPG set in a dark, bleak futuristic world where magic has come back to humanity. Imo it's a must play for any retro rpg fan. Can be difficult though.
Retro Uprising - Arcade - Shadowrun (http://retrouprising.com/game-menu/game/3500/)
Same as above but slightly different. Has a whole mode about hacking into computer systems complete with a Lawnmower style combat system. Arguably better than the snes version but both are worth playing because of the differences.

Retro Uprising - Arcade - Starflight (http://retrouprising.com/game-menu/game/3844/)
Sci Fi rpg that is pretty under appreciated. The only drawback is the time limit, the universe is dieing the whole time you're exploring. It ties into the story though so it makes sense at the end. Awesome game.

Retro Uprising - Arcade - Ultima: Quest of the Avatar (http://retrouprising.com/game-menu/game/4411/)
Classic RPG. You might've already played it because it's so popular but if not it's certainly worth your time if you can deal with the old school graphics and boring combat.

Retro Uprising - Arcade - Willow (http://retrouprising.com/game-menu/game/4583/)
Honorable mention because I know lots of people like it a lot. I'm not a big fan but I think it's good enough to suggest to anyone interested in RPGs.

Retro Uprising - Arcade - Wizardry V Heart Of The Maelstrom (http://retrouprising.com/game-menu/game/4610/)
Pretty heavily detail orientated and kinda dull to be honest. That being said if you're into hardcore rpgs it's good. First person dungeon crawler that's punishing and annoying at times.

Retro Uprising - Arcade - Breath Of Fire II (http://retrouprising.com/game-menu/game/593/)
How many more times can I saw a game is awesome? Well here's another, it's awesome.

Retro Uprising - Arcade - 7th Saga, The (http://retrouprising.com/game-menu/game/28/)
Also, wait for it, awesome. It's cool and gives you options for replay but the difficulty amps up towards the middle and it doesn't seem to let up from then on. It's pretty popular though so you might've already played it.

I don't see you adding anything to the topic yet.:loser:

If you don't want to go hunting for games on different systems, you could try some for the PC. There's alot of good ones out there.

YouTube - World Court Tennis - Quest Mode Gameplay
World Court Tennis
Most obscure RPG you can ask for. It's so ridiculously out of place it's hilarious. The dialog from what I can remember was off the chart funny. Last time I played it was 10+ years ago so it might not be as funny now.

Barkley, Shut Up and Jam: Gaiden
It's pretty weird from what I hear. Haven't got around to playing it but it's super popular homebrew/indy game.

Wow that is such a strange game. Now I almost wanna try it but I really don't like Tennis.

That's not a bad thing.

So, you are looking for on here, right?
Retro Uprising - Arcade - Shadowrun (http://retrouprising.com/game-menu/game/3500/)
Retro Uprising - Arcade - Shin Megami Tense (http://retrouprising.com/game-menu/game/7755/)
Retro Uprising - Arcade - Shin Megami Tensei II (http://retrouprising.com/game-menu/game/7756/)
Retro Uprising - Arcade - Soul Blazer (http://retrouprising.com/game-menu/game/3717/)

I don't know if the Shin Megami Tensei games are the versions with English patches or not, worth checking out either way.
