I got two nintendo collectables for my room toad and yoshi (stioll have the 1996 version), A new cellphone that xcould get me on RU more, and Kirby's Epic Yarn from my Mom. Got a Mario Tshirt from my bro (and I am not a big Mario fan.. :P), and 100 bucks from my dad.

it must be fun because it was entertaining almost everyone at our xmas party for an hour plus. The hardest part seems to be trying to make it back into a cube. took me hours the first time but then it only took me about 15 mins to fix it again. (Before i broke it again:\ )

Then later on in the evening, I went to a friend's house out on a ranch and ate a freashly slaughered pig and drank beer while the kids were runninng. Now on to the new year!

Why?
My wife had no goverment issued id. in her married name, witch was the name on the tickect. We had her passport, and lots of other id. in her old name, as well as several government documents in her new name. And none of this mattered, I wasnt too upset about it, because I can see how they can't bend the rules. What really upset me was that all we had to do was go up to the ticket purchase place and change the name on the ticket, this would have taken 10-15 minutes, and the plane was leaving in 5-10 minutes. No other flights were availabe until the 26th.

I got a pair of gloves and two neck-ties.
All of these things I picked out two days before Christmas. I actually thought my mom would only buy one of the ties.
The gloves are mid-to-low tier leather, and both of the ties are decent. They were bought at significantly lower than the standard price, because they were bought at a store that buys excess merchandise from other stores, that kind of thing.
I also got forty dollars before Christmas.
I made fifteen dollars profit gambling, I bought ten dollars air-time for my phone and the first four volumes of the Hellsing manga (used). This was all before Christmas.
I got ten more dollars on Christmas.
I have thirty dollars left, so I'm doing pretty well.

All that really matters is that I got to spend time with my older brother.

I wish I could feel that way. I like the reassurance of getting a gift that someone put some actual thought into. I know my loved ones care about me and that I shouldn't need such things but my mind is whacked out and I just want that confirmation in some sort of physical manifestation.

I only feel that way because of how infrequently I get to see my older brother. That, and we fall well below middle-class and therefore have never had huge Christmases marked by vast quantaties of large gifts. That, and family has always meant more to me than material goods.
This year was a couple of ties and a pair of gloves.
Last year was a coat.
The year before was an alarm clock.
And so on, and so forth.
Usually, my mom "makes up for it" by buying each of us something nice with income tax returns in March.



I like the reassurance of getting a gift that someone put some actual thought into.

I only really feel that way about hand-made gifts. Anyone can buy a video game, the same game is the same game no matter who bought it. If, however, someone makes a gift, it isn't the same from everyone. Two people could attempt to make the exact same thing, and end up with completely different results. That, and it was made specifically for the person recieving, it's special and heart-felt.

Its very hard keeping up with the chefs and doing tons of dishes at the same time, sometimes its like they expect you just to know what your doing when you are obviously still learning.
Ive met some good people on the corse too, took me a while to be able to socalize with them due to my anxiety (Quiet but once you know me I wont shut up lol)

I figure there's a decent chance I regret this but I splurged and purchased an Xbox One bundle for the family. The bundle consists of the box, a Lego game for the kids, the new Forza 5 game for me and anyone else who wants to play, a second controller and a year membership to Xbox Live Gold.

Also got some 3DS games. Monster High for my 6 yr old daughter, a WWE game for my 9 yr old son and the new Scribblenaughts (sp?) game for them to share.
