I tested it just now to see if using it would be possible to stream RU gameplay live. Wolfman24 and Tails both say it came out fine.

Now I want to do a larger scale test.
On Dec. 6 at 7:00PM CST I will come on and play some games. Go to
Seahawk Live Play - live streaming video powered by Livestream (http://www.livestream.com/seahawk0027/)
for viewing. Also join the RU chat room at that time =P.

I will play R-Type Leo first, and then you can all vote for what game I play next.

No you did pretty well in Rambo particular. It was like you were a man who was trained to ignore pain, ignore weather, to live off the land, to eat things that would make a billy goat puke. You did well. Just like those children surviving in the cave.

The lantern would have worked too. ;) It's magical, and it lights up inch of the cave and you don't even have to hold it in your hand. You are free to gut snakes with you knife.

So, you want to set up your own livestream account you say?

Step 1: Make an account at www.livestream.com (http://www.livestream.com/).

Step 2: Download and install Procaster (http://www.livestream.com/platform/procaster).

Step 3: Share your channel link, this thread is a good place to share.

Step 4: Run Procaster, and on the broadcast tab set it to "No Camera", and click on the gamepad icon, otherwise it will broadcast your entire desktop.

Step 5: Run any DirectX or OpenGL application on your computer. Important Note: Procaster cannot run the emulators that are hosted on Retrouprising. You will have to download the emulators and ROMs to your computer and run them from there.

Step 5: When you're all ready, focus on your game window, and press Ctrl+F1 to start broadcasting.

Step 6: PROFIT!!!

Depending on your settings you can broadcast from other things than the game window, you can broadcast from a camera hooked up to your computer, or any other recognized video capture device.

If you don't say it is an official RU event I don't see why you can't =P.

I'm sure that will work, just make sure the emulator window is maximized otherwise the game will be very tiny in the video.

Cool Seahawk! I will have to try it when I have some more time. Close to the holiday's work always demands more of my time. :p

I can just see having events like someone trying to beat someone's hi-score in a high profile game and us all watching their attempt.

You could even tie some competitions into it as well where everyone gets one chance highest score wins. Hard to do with people being all over the world here at RU, but could be interesting.

Or gamers holding clinics on how to play better at certain games if they are willing to give up their secrets. ;)

Not really. It drastically dropped my FPS to 56%-114%. It was mostly unplayable.
