I found this article fascinating. I don't think I could be able to live in a place like this, but kudos for those who can and are able to save space and money.

Laptop gives you games, music, TV, movies. Add in a Kindle and a DS and you're good to go entertainment wise.

That is the Arch Heretic Stanley Tweedle, yes.
My reference is the concept of micro housing, shown in Lexx as Stanley's mini - apartment {a cubby hole with his bed in it} amid hundreds if not thousands more like it on The Cluster.

Another reference could have been the micro hotel rooms in Japan, which actually presently exist.
I'm just making a comment about how individual space seems to be becoming a thing of the past.

I know you don't need that much space to live in, but it's nice to have a wee bit more space if you can.

A bit off topic: I've never seen Lexx. It looks interesting and is highly rated in Netflix. Do any of you have any opinions on it?

Back on topic: I think I might be able to live in a place like that depending on a few things. One, I need a shed in the back to put my tools and lawn mower and stuff like that. Two, I need to be living with only the Mrs. so no kids. And three, I need a back yard to entertain my guests. I am not entertaining anyone inside that box. I have way too many friends to party inside. My current place is too small inside as it is. I wouldn't mind getting rid of a few things including my cats...got three of them right now and I don't think I would like living with them in such a tiny house.
