Black Screen

So when I started my comp it seemed all fine. It also had a BSOD and after searching the net I found this. Why is it doing it? From that it seems to be not only me, but a large chunk of Windows 7 users. This is what I tried:

Instead of logging off the computer I just shut it down. When turning it back on it gives an auto black screen instead of the sign in.

Logging off gives a black screen. Cannot undo it must turn off by the power supply.

When your computer goes to sleep it also black screens, I disabled that.

That post mentions that their patch can fix it. Is this true? Kong/Seahawk have you ever had exp with this? This is pissing me off big time. =/

"Well, there is a known issue with the Apollo motherboard used in the HP Pavilion dv2000, 6000 and 9000 series that will cause at some point (even after just purchasing the computer) not to show anything but a blank screen even if all the lights (quickpla, power, wireless) come up, if you need this issue to get fixed you will need to call HP total care tech support where the tachnicians will probably ask you to 1: try to turn the pc removing the battery and only the AC adapter plugged in, then physically reseat the RAM and the hard drive and if this dont work (most likely wont) they will send the pc to the service center for motherboard replacement."

Never heard of it. Your store return policy is probably 14 days. You probably have free phone support through both Microsoft and HP. I suggest using it.

BSOD screens always have error codes that look like this
0x00000000
where the 0's can be any number and the x is always an x. You can Google that code to find out what caused the error and how to fix it.

BSOD = Black Screen of Death.. just a plain black screen with control of your mouse. I realized BSOD is usually the blue one, my bad. Can't use keyboard right click or left click.

Yeah it is 14 days, thank god. Might be a sign that I rushed I don't even have a desk/chair yet. Thinking about getting the same computer a friend got, he got a custom one.

Read at a lot of places researching even Microsoft hasn't fixed it yet, it's a bug in the motherboard that will eventually go out again (I want a long lasting computer).I'll see if I can find the number and ask just to see. But hearing all the negative stuff about the mother board makes me think it won't last long and I won't want to replace computers every 3 years.

Oh Ive had Blue screen , but when I turn it off and on its seems to be fine.
