Pokemon Character Game...

Okay, to get things rolling with the whole Pokemon thing (and enhance my education), I thought it might be fun to have a thread where we can post pictures of Pokemon characters and which ones are best. Don't they have different forms?

Charmander is probably the most popular starter pokemon. His final evolution is Charizard which is a Fire/Flying.

Anyways, Gallade is the male 3rd evolution of Ralts/Kirlia. Using the dawn stone I think during the day evolves him into this. He's a fighting/Psychic that uses his arms like blades.

He could also learn a wide variety of moves ranging from fire moves (like fire blast) to thunder moves (Thunder) and to Ice (Blizzard/Ice Beam). So yeah, hes actually pretty strong.

Dragonite is the evolved form of Dragonair who is the evolved form of Dratini. Dragonite is an extremely powerful pokemon and the first Dragon type Pokemon to be made. He uses Dragon moves such as Dragon Pulse and Dragon Rush, Thunder moves, fire moves, and even ice moves. Its strongest attack is most likely Hyper Beam.

No matter what version you play, Snorlax is decent at worst. He may be slow, but he has high physical attack and physical defense, in later games he is immune to poison, burn, freeze and paralysis, he can learn a wide variety of moves, including hyper beam, his special attack and special defense are pretty good, and he's just cute.

Snorlax has always been my favorite because he is one of the only cute Pokemon that isn't a total failure. That and if I were a Pokemon, I would be Snorlax.

In all the games, you can only teach a Pokemon four moves. You must delete one of the four moves to use another move. So if a Snorlax has

Giga Impact
Fire Blast
Mega Punch
Hyper Beam

and you want to teach his Thunder, then you will have to delete one of the current moves to replace it with Thunder.

Despite it's low stats and it's potential to learn only four specific moves, it is banned from tournament play for how good it is.

Destiny bond: If you kill me, I take you down with me, and if I kill you, you take me down with you.
His other moves:
Mirror Coat: when I use this, I do double the damage you did to me last turn from a special attack, to you
Counter: when I use this, I do double the damage you did to me last turn from a physical attack, to you
Safeguard: user's entire party protected from status conditions for five turns.

So basically, Wobbuffet cannot deal damage himself, but rather use your attacks against you.

Yup, his fairly low stats make him easy to K.O. and his low defense means he takes a good amount of damage. With the moveset of an average Pokemon, this would be bad, but his moveset makes his disadvantages his advantages.

If you EV train, you get better stats. Make "Lax" into a powerhouse.

I don't EV train, it's just stupid and a waste of time. You have to make note of what Pokemon have what EVs, and level up by beating the one with the values you want. That and EV training is time consuming, because you have to find these Pokemon, and the ones with the best EVs are harder to find, and if they are in caves you have to deal with the Zubat every five steps.

I think Arceus is because hes like the God of all Pokemon or something which is stupid b/c Mew/Mewtwo should be the strongest since they were the original legendaries.

To not get WB confused, Caterpie is one of the weakest pokemon ever :P

Tough ain't it? :P It's evolved form is no better, all it can do is the move Harden which raises your defense. So it can't really attack, unless you evolved your Caterpie into a Metapod.

Since I found out after I got Hitmonlee on CT, the info card was describing HitmonCHAN (I think that's a sign I should just do video game related info cards, I mean the Mario ones are also fucked up) I'll post my remade infocard here. ;)

Hitmonlee is the kicking fiend Pokemon who evolves from Tyrouge if your attack is higher than your defense. He uses special attacks like High Jump Kick and Rolling Kick. In the manga, Bruno of the Elite 4 explains because Hitmonlee's legs are so flexible it is impossible to locate his knees. Bruno's Hitmonlee also can stretch out his arms as well, becoming a slingshot or even a pad to stand on. Hitmonlee is also the one responsible for destroying Bill's house. His name is based on the actor Bruce Lee.

Garchomp is Gen IV's big, bad dragon. One with amazingly high stats and that reaches it's final evolution at a ridiculously high level {forty-five}, and you can only catch the first form, usually under level ten.
