The gaming industry has come a long way since the late 1960's, but what are the

#10: Really? Mature games weren't around until the 90's?

Why would xbox live and online play be two seperate numbers? Online play should be replaced with the PC.

No mention of Wisdom Tree makes the list suspect.

Aside from Noah's Ark 3D (and that's a clone), name one good game of theirs.

That one that blew up your nes was pretty good.

What did you do in it, if you can't remember the name.

I can't recall the specifics and a quick google search turned up nothing, I'm sure Ten can elaborate. It was something about the game sending a blast of voltage to over ride the anti piracy, but the blast was too much for then nes or something.

Alright, I'll take your word for it.

They really need a thesaurus, they used "Paradigm shift" and "Archaic" way to many times. They may sound intelligent using these words once, but they really overdid it.

Still, the list really isn't too good anyway. Xbox live was separated from online gaming, the Gameboy was presented as a bigger milestone than handheld gaming in the first place. How is the Gameboy more of a milestone then the old LED handhelds, which eventually led to the creation of the Gameboy?

I think the reasoning behind putting Live as it's own spot is it's supposedly changing the online experience. I think it's great but it's not a huge step forward like some people believe.

The gameboy is notable because it's become an icon. It's dominated the market for so long that it's become THE handheld gaming system. PSP and others are out there but none match the GB legacy, yet. Also those old school LED games were crap. I grew up with them and I knew they were crap then too. They were only good because it's all we had. It's junk compared to modern stuff.

Yeah, I know they suck, I know the Gameboy is an icon, but isn't the fact that handheld gaming came to be, more of a milestone than one specific handheld?

I think it's a tough call. Yes they got the idea out there and began it but the GB really made the handheld gaming market viable. Before that it was just a cheap novelty that got old. With GB the direction changed to games with content and endurance. Maybe instead of Live they should separated these two.

I agree, Gameboy was more of a milestone than Xbox live, and changed handheld gaming more than Xbox live changed online gaming. Handheld gaming should be on the list though, as should Gameboy.
