SUSPENDED Suspended was Infocom's 6th game after the ZORKs, Deadline, and Starcross, (and the second science fiction game). It was written by Michael Berlyn. You are the "fallsafe" of a computer complex that controls all aspects of a planet's life. Normally you would be asleep for 500 years, but the computer wakes you up because all hell broke loose on the planet and you are the one who should put things back on the right track... You do that by mentally controlling the following six robots: IRIS is your visual aid that describes things to you. WALDO is the construction robot that fixes stuff. SENSA's sensors can sense vibrations, photon emissions and ionic dicharges. AUDA is your ears, useful if any human enters your complex. POET is a diagnostic robot that also says "a wise poem" sometimes! WHIZ is your R2D2 unit! Plugs itself in CLC peripherals and finds information. There was once a seventh robot, but it's broken beyond repair. You can get information from the Central Library Core (CLC), and you have to fix the Weather, Food Production, and Transportation Systems of the planet... Difficulty level: EXPERT COMMODORE EMULATOR NOTE: It is not recommended to play any Infocom game on CCS64, since there is no way to turn off its 1541 emulation and the games load too slow. On C64S, Vice, and PC64, though, any Infocom game will load instantly and you will notice no delay for loading new text while playing, making the gameplay more enjoyable! Well, that's all!
