For the first time in the Madden series an NFL license has been acquired, allowing you to play as real teams from the 1993-94 season. In total, there are 28 NFL teams, 38 Super Bowl teams since 1966, twelve All-Time Franchises since 1950 and two All-Madden teams. While the game continues to use the vertical playing perspective with three passing windows, players are now much larger than before and have new running and tackling animations.

Rounding out the features are 72 new plays that can be flipped in the opposite direction, reverse-angle instant replay, audibles that can be customized at any time, a bluff mode to disguise plays, and support for up to four players with the 4-Way Play adaptor. This 16-Meg cartridge also includes a battery to save your progress during the season.

Madden NFL '96 is a football video game designed for the 1995 NFL season, licensed by the NFL.

Among the innovations in Madden 96, the Create A Player feature was added, which included many position specific mini-games that would determine the ability of the player. The AI has also been boosted and can now hurry in two-minute drill situations, spike the ball, and cover the receivers with better efficiency.

The game also was the first in the Madden series to include secret "classic" teams, which were unlocked by playing any of the 28 pre-expansion NFL franchises in the playoffs and by winning Super Bowl XXX with that team (a rather easy feat as the playoff tournament system allows a player to abort the game while in the lead and still win). The 28 pre-expansion teams were each represented by a classic era equivalent, which ranged from 1960 (Philadelphia Eagles) to 1986 (New York Giants), although all players useridentified as number-only. Jacksonville Jaguars and Carolina Panthers, having debuted in 1995, did not have a secret classic team revealed in this manner, nor did the All-Madden team.

This was the first edition of Madden to implement the use of a salary cap when customizing team rosters. It also featured the new Baltimore Ravens, the expansion franchise that absorbed the roster of the Cleveland Browns for the 1996 season. The game also adds a team of real free agents (as opposed to the blank slate used in Madden 96) which can be traded and added to other teams' rosters (led by recently semi-retired quarterback Randall Cunningham), and could be played by using a cheat code.

Classic teams were once again used, although most were different from the previous year's teams; the years ranged as far back as 1952 (Detroit Lions) and as recent as 1990 (Buffalo Bills). Jacksonville and Carolina, once again, did not get classic teams, but Baltimore was attached to a classic Cleveland Browns team.

The best team in the overall ranking, with a score of 85 was the Dallas Cowboys and the worst team with a score of 62 was the Baltimore Ravens. The best ranked offenses were between the Cowboys and the Lions with a score of 92. The St.Louis Rams had the best ranked defense with an 86. The Miami Dolphins had the best ranked special teams with a 93.

Madou Monogatari: Big Kindergarten Kids (AKA Madou Monogatari: Hanamaru Dai Youchienji ), is a role-playing video game for the Super Famicom released in Japan on January 12, 1996.

The gameplay is a traditional role-playing game with some unique twists. For example, there are no numerical stats. Instead, everything is represented by the character's facial expressions and sprites.[3] The game was intended for small children who do not have the ability to count figures in their head. Another is the complete lack of physical attacks (similar to Harry Potter or magical girl anime). Everything utilizes a magical element: Fire, Ice Storm, Thunder, and Bayoen. Some enemies are weaker against one particular magic attack than another.

Magic Sword revolves around the Blackorb, a source of evil and the threat it holds to mankind. Your role as the hero is to find this orb and save Drokmar Keep from almost certain destruction. Equipped with the game's namesake magic sword, you advance through the multiple levels of a tower in which the Blackorb controls it's minions of evil. Along the way, you collect keys which both open chests that hold numerous treasures and powerups as well as locked cells which contain companions to assist you in your quest.

These companions are quite an enhancing aspect of gameplay, as the varied styles of fighting among the eight potential companions adds an element of strategy. As you progress through the game, both you and your companion develop experience levels which give you the power to either inflict more damage or cast spells, depending on your character class.

Magical Drop (AKA MagiDro), is a series of puzzle games originally released in the arcade, and later primarily released for several platforms such as the Neo Geo, Super Famicom, Sega Saturn and Neo Geo Pocket Color developed by Data East. The games are notable for being extremely fast-paced.

Magical Drop is played in a style and gameplay similar to Compile's (now Sega's) Puyo Puyo and Taito's Puzzle Bobble franchises; a "stack" of random colored bubbles descend from the top, and a player is defeated when a bubble hits the bottom. Bubbles can be picked up and dropped by the player's "clown" at the bottom, and are destroyed when three or more of the same color are put together on a single column. "Chains" are formed either when a single drop caused a chain reaction, or when more than one group of bubbles is destroyed in quick succession. The game is normally played with two players (one may be a computer opponent), and chains cause the opponent's stack to descend faster.

There are 24 characters, all but the Black Pierrot being named after a tarot card (with the Strength card covering two characters). Different characters have different attack patterns. The columns of the opponent's stack will descend at different rates relative to each other depending on the character chosen. This causes a disjunction of colors that may make it more difficult for the other player to clear their stack. For example, with the character Devil, all the columns will descend at the same rate, whereas with Sun, the middle columns will descend faster than the others.

Mario and Wario is a 1993 Mario side-scrolling puzzle video game designed by Satoshi Tajiri and developed by Game Freak for the Super Famicom console. The game was released only in Japan on August 27, 1993 and requires the SNES Mouse accessory to play.

Mario & Wario focuses on Mario, who has various objects, including buckets and vases, placed atop his head by the antagonist Wario. Because the objects render Mario sightless, it is the main goal of the player to guide Mario through each level, which consist of various obstacles and traps, to his brother Luigi, who can remove the offending object. The player must also complete each level within a specified time limit. Because Mario will constantly walk left or right regardless of any oncoming hazards, the player controls the fairy Wanda, who possesses the ability to manipulate the environment in order to protect Mario.

A fun creative outlet for aspiring artists and musicians, Mario Paint lets youngsters (and the young at heart) color, draw, compose music (from more than a dozen sounds) and produce four-, six- and nine-frame animations. Simple interfacing combined with a variety of colors, icons and backgrounds give the game virtually limitless replay value. The biggest drawback is that you can only save one picture at a time. Also, unlike with similar computer programs, you can't print your work. As a bonus, the cartridge includes a surprisingly enjoyable game of Gnat Attack, which involves using the mouse to maneuver a fly swatter around the screen in order to swat pesky critters.

Mario's Time Machine is an educational video game developed by The Software Toolworks for DOS and the SNES.

Set in 1993, Bowser is in possession of a time machine. He went back in time to steal many artifacts from the past, and placed them in what he would consider "...the greatest museum of all time". If the items aren't returned soon, history will be changed permanently. Characters including Luigi and Yoshi are featured, though the latter only in the NES version. Mario's Time Machine uses a sidescrolling perspective and requires players to send Mario to different time periods to find the items. When time traveling to another time, players must partake in a surfing mini-game before they can reach it, though in the NES version, players must control Mario through a platforming mini-game. Mario may converse with people in these time periods to get information to help him. At certain points, players are initiated to fill in the blanks of a document discussing something historical, using one of several numerous pre-determined words to fill the blanks in. In the game, Mario has a monkey named Bobo.
