Chrono Trigger puts a spin on the traditional RPG battle system by joining more than one character's attacks to create a "combination" attack. As you travel through the game, you will earn more of these and eventally learn the ultimate in combinations: the triple attack.

This game follows a long and twisting tale because the element of time travel is used. If you screw up in the past, it will greatly affect the future.

Once you have beaten the game, a new game mode opens up: the "+" mode. In "+" mode, you retain all the weapons, levels, and items you had when you beat the game, but you get to use them at the beginning of the game instead. This allows you to get some of the game's 15 secret endings. The "+" mode is also loaded with many side-quests and hidden treasures.

Crystal Warriors is a turn-based fantasy strategy video game.

The player forms a party of up to nine units to fight in each level. The player starts on one side of the map and an enemy force of up to nine units occupies a castle on the opposite side. The player must defeat the enemy force or move a unit on to the enemy castle entrance to complete each level. Each level has terrain features which form bottlenecks or change the speed of units. The player controls specialized units belonging to a particular elemental group and most of the strategy revolves around the element of a given unit and its correct usage. Each element is weak to one and strong versus another in a rock-paper-scissors system. Fire elemental units are strong against wind elemental units, while wind units are strong against water, and in turn water units are strong against fire. Earth-based units have no particular strengths or weaknesses.

Whenever a player unit attacks an enemy unit or vice versa, a battle occurs. A battle consists of two rounds where the units can fight with melee weapons, spells or monsters. The attacking unit strikes first in each round.

Throughout history it has come to be known that an end is merely a beginning in disguise. When war overtook the entire planet, some thought the true end had come. However, some saw this end as a beginning when they realized a group of humans had acquired magical abilities once considered legendary. Tamalic was one of these few. He and his fellow magicians had not only survived the war, but gained new magical powers that allowed them to bring life back to the scorched planet.

However, not all of the magicians that entered this new dawn of magic spent their energies on restoring the planet. One called Dragonia, chose to combine his magical abilities with the shunned ways of technology. This combination of magic and technology allowed Dragonia to grow in power, and force his evil will upon the rest of humanity...

In the 24th century, mankind has expanded into the reaches of outer space. The crew of the starship Swordfish are in an engagement with space pirates. Suddenly, the battle takes a turn for the worse and the crew activate their jump drive without a destination. They end up flung across the galaxy to the galactic core. The Swordfish however is badly damaged with many casualties. Even the captain was killed while en route to the mysterious destination.

Only 26 of the crew survive, and only six of them are qualified for combat operations: the commander, two soldiers, a mechanic and a doctor. They are responsible for using the six giant "Module" mechanized suits available for them after the fight with the space pirates. They discover a human colony that is under attack by a relentless mechanical aliens dubbed "Berserkers". The crew must fight back against the new alien threat and explore the galaxy in order to find a way to return to Earth.

The object is to power up the human crew user and their mechs through combat experience points, explore strange new worlds using tools/weapons, and solve the problems of each alien civilization. The first mission involves saving an Earth-like planet of big people with a circa 1992 technology level from robots who want to wipe out humanity. On that planet, the president and his wife assume the throne positions of that of a king and a queen, even though their planet is assumed to be a democracy. Other quests involving trading stuff for a universal translator, braving a lava planet, and even using hyperdrive to get from planet to planet.

This is the sequel to Dark Lord. Its battles are similar in form to Treasure Hunter G--they use a power bar that drains with movement and action, except that battles are not restricted to 16x16 squares. Like a game that popularized the trend, Chrono Trigger, the game has multiple endings.

The Heretic War is set in the town of Dorl. One day, monsters raided the town, stealing both the treasures and Princess Etna's soul. Despite the attempts of brave warriors to retrieve her soul, none have been successful.

In the dungeon, the player is given a command list. The player can choose to attack if an enemy is in the vicinity, view allocated items, escape from battle, examine the area for items, and talk if there are people nearby. The character's effectiveness in battle is largely determined by numerical values for attacking power (AP), defensive power (AC), and health (HP). These values are determined by the character's experience level (LEVEL), which raises after the character's accumulated experience (EX) reaches a certain point.

A role-playing game for the NES set within the Romance of the Three Kingdoms mythos that has spawned games on nearly every platform imaginable. A party is formed by selecting up to five officers from a huge pool, many of whom would only join you after be bribed or defeated in combat. Officers in turn each had a certain amount of soldiers, which essentially acted as hit points (i.e. Si Ma Ye leads 40000 men, and when he is hit by Zhang Bao, he loses 5000 men, so his manpower is now at 35000). One of the first games on the NES to attempt to simulate large scale combat between different forces, although obviously in a very limited way.

Its gameplay derives from roguelikes, with a more intuitive graphical interface and is an 'unofficial' sequel to Fatal Labyrinth.

Story:
As the player rides a bicycle one late afternoon, he turns down an alley never before noticed and enters an antique shop. There, a mysterious glowing crystal is sitting on a shelf. Upon approaching the crystal and gazing into it, a powerful force pulls the player in, causing a blackout.

The player awakens in a forest with a large egg following behind. This forest is a huge maze, crawling with dangerous creatures. The player finds weapons and other items scattered around with which to fight the monsters. The only way out is to continue onward, defeating monsters and growing in power along the way.

Gameplay:
The player starts off in the middle of a maze level covered by the fog of war. The first ten levels are a random mixture of trees and cacti, the next 10 are brick walls and the final ten are metal. (In the Game Gear version, the levels are a mix of trees, cacti, sunflowers, and Easter Island style statues.) Progress is achieved by completing each floor then warping to the next by walking the character to a differently coloured square, found by clearing the level.

Weapons, armour, potions, rings, food, money and enemies are randomly placed on the ground. If a player walks around for too long without picking up food, he will die of starvation. Cake objects give 11 to 27 and meat objects 42 to 46 food points and each food point allows the character to move six spaces on the screen and the maximum number of food points is 100.

The player has a number of Hit Points dependent on the level achieved, these increase by killing monsters and advancing to the next Character level. Hit Points are traded in battle with the enemy and recovered by moving around. Money is used to revive from death, increasing in cost with the number and severity of previous deaths.
