Sailor Moon R is a Beat-'Em-Up game.

Sailor Moon R, AKA Bishoujo Senshi Sailor Moon R, is the sequel to Sailor Moon and introduced a new playable character, Chibiusa. Unlike other Sailor Moon games, Sailor Moon R was developed and published by Bandai, instead of Angel. The sprites from the previous game were redesigned with more detail and more animation frames for this game and the later games. Like the Mega Drive version of the previous game, the bosses has their own theme music. By playing the game on hard mode, there is a minor change to the ending that involves Sailor Pluto.

You play a warrior possessed with mystic powers who does that superhero thing of battling endless hordes of evil beings. Arcade game based on the Japanese anime series Saint Seiya. A Spanish-dubbed version of the show was also syndicated throughout Central and South America under the title Los Caballeros del Zodiaco.

Looks and plays much like the first Valis game. If you can handle that, then you can handle this.

The sequel to Genpei Toma Den, and is the first game in the series to be released outside Japan. If you think you're pretty good at platform games, I'd suggest giving Samurai Ghost a try. This impressive-looking side-scroller is a real showcase title for the Turbografx-16. With its elaborate backgrounds and huge characters, I thought I was playing a Neo Geo game!

The controls are mainly limited to jumping and sword thrusting, and they take a lot of getting used to. The enemies are colorful and detailed. Sadly, Samurai Ghost looks much better than it plays. The collision detection is fishy, the power-up system is more confusing than it is useful, and mandatory hits are the order of the day. Between stages you'll be greeted by a hideous witch who spews unintentionally hilarious lines such as "How a pity you are", and "Don't be inattention". Samurai Ghost has a weird style that's kind of freaky. Overall, it adds up to an interesting but unexceptional gaming experience.

In this translation of SNK's hit arcade game, Samurai Shodown for the Super Nintendo offers twelve selectable characters, thirteen animated stages, and multiple bonus rounds--all squeezed onto a 32-Meg cartridge. As an 18th century noble warrior, you must use your sword to battle ninjas and other Samurai from around the world. Setting this game apart from most fighters are a "Rage Gauge," which makes you stronger as you absorb damage, and a "Courier Man" who runs past the screen dropping special items such as food and money. Learn and master a variety of special moves as you fight for honor!

The characters are as follows: Fugu Blade wielding Ha-Oh Maru; Samurai "heartthrob" Ukyo Tachibana; young environmentalist Nakoruru; French leader Charlotte; Ninjas Galford and Hanzo Hattori; two-handed swordsman Jubei Yagyu; former Kabuki actor Kyoshiro Senryo, military giant Wan Fu; Mayan Tam Tam; scissor-handed Genan Shiranui; and Earthquake, the massive Texan. Battle each character until you come face to face with the evil Shiro Tokisada Amakusa! Parents should be warned that Samurai Shodown carries an MA-13 rating for animated violence and blood.

The game is set in the late 18th century and all the characters wield weapons. The game uses comparatively authentic music from the time period, rife with sounds of traditional Japanese instruments, such as the shakuhachi and shamisen, and a refined version of the camera zoom first found in Art of Fighting. True to its use of bladed weapons, the game also included copious amounts of blood.

The game quickly became renowned for its fast pace, focused more on quick, powerful strikes than the combos. As to emphasize the distinction of this gameplay system, slow motion was added to intensify damage dealt from hard hits. Also during a match, a referee held flags representing each player (player 1 was white; player 2 red). When a player landed a successful hit, the referee would lift the corresponding flag, letting everyone watching know who dealt the blow. To lessen the repetition of fights, a delivery man running in the background threw items such as chicken (that healed) or bombs, which could significantly change the outcome of a play.

"A samurai fears nothing, struggles to triumph over evil, and lives for one purpose - to destroy all enemies." A conversion of the popular arcade beat 'em up that manages to stand out from the crowd of Street Fighter clones due to its unique premise.

Ported from the old Neo-Geo system, almost nothing that matters has survived the porting process leaving passable graphics, jerky animation, and frustrating gameplay.

The game that put the Neo-Geo on the map! Superb weapons-based fighter featuring 12 characters, bonus rounds and one end boss.

The first game that introduced weapon fighting into the fighting game genre. The game used an upgraded version of the scaling graphics engine that was originally featured in "Art of Fighting".

Samurai Shodown also started SNK's reputation for their unique style of Engrish, known as SNKgrish in their games.

Samurai Shodown is considered by some to portray Japanese culture and language effectively. Unlike most American versions of Japanese video games, the characters in this game (including the announcer) generally speak fluent Japanese with subtitles, and traditional Japanese music is often heard during gameplay. Samurai Shodown takes most of its characters from either historical sources or characters from the Ninja Scroll anime. In fact, a few designers that worked on Samurai Shodown also worked on the Ninja Scroll anime.

With the immense popularity of professional wrestling, it was natural to expect a myriad of wrestling style games to hit the arcade circuit. Saturday Night Slam Masters was one of these many games released around this time. Gameplay and premise are quite straight forward. This particular game features both a single player match and a battle royal mode in which you and up to three of your friends can battle each other within the ropes.

Choose from one of eight different wrestlers, each with their own fighting style and special moves. Actual gameplay is rather simplified, with one jump and one action button which are used in differing combinations to deliver various punishing blows to your opponent. Throw your opponent from the ring, leap from the turnbuckles, and deliver a clothesline..

A 1-on-1 fighting game in which players choose from 10 different wrestlers and take to the ring to try and defeat their larger-than-life opponents. Each wrestler has an assortment of moves, including his own special 'super slam'. The object of the game is to win and defend the championship by pinning or putting a submission hold on your opponent.

There are 2 different game modes to select and play : Single Match or Tag Team 'Battle Royal'. In Single Match, players choose to be one of eight wrestlers including 'Mike Hagger', 'Alexander The Grater', 'El Stingray', 'King Rasta Mon', 'Titanic Tim', 'Gunloc', 'Biff Bolshevik' and 'The Great Oni' ('Jumbo Jack' and 'The Scorpion' cannot be selected in this game).

Once a wrestler has been selected, players will compete in a world-wide tournament against the other 9 wrestlers (including 'Jumbo Jack' and 'The Scorpion') in respective matches. In each match, players must defeat each of their respective opponents by a pinfall, count-out or submission in order to proceed to each of the following matches. Once all opponents are defeated, the winner will be crowned champion and players will have to face all opponents again to defend their title.

In Tag Team 'Battle Royal', players can choose to play as any 2 of the 10 wrestlers for their tag team, including 'Jumbo Jack' and 'The Scorpion'. Here, the player and his or her partner have to eliminate both of the 2 wrestlers on the opposing tag team, in order to win the match and proceed to the next. During these matches, if the player is eliminated before his or her partner is, the match will be declared no contest and it will be a draw.

During each bout in this game, metal buckets and/or glass bottles will sometimes be thrown into the ring which can be picked by the players' wrestler(s) and used as weapons against their opponents.
