In Ice Climber one or two players need to climb their way to the top of 32 different mountains. Each mountain is broken up into eight levels of platforms along with a bonus stage at the top. Attempting to stop you from making upward progress are different creatures ranging from polar bears to condors as well as treacherous landscapes with falling icicles, moving platforms, and icy floors. To help out, your only weapon is a mallet which can be used to knock out enemies as well as bust away bricks in the platforms to give you some room to jump up to the next level. When you finally reach the top, it's time to move on to the next, more difficult level.

In the early 90's, some misguided game publishers believed that if you took a small, furry creature and stuck him in a platform game, you'd have the makings of a hit.

The game stars a mole in a cheesy Superman outfit, and he's neither cute nor cool nor likeable. He battles some really bizarre creations including cameras with legs, guys who hop around in diapers, and evil storm clouds that release deadly raindrops. Impossamole's gameplay is flawed on a fundamental level. The most appealing aspect of the game is the music. Its shrill, bouncy style is weird but very distinctive, and it's got "16-bit" written all over it.

Agent 4125 ... Halt the threat of world annihilation posed by Elvin Atombender from his underground laboratory. Penetrate his stronghold and dodge or deactivate the guard robots whilst unscrambling the secret code that will allow entry to the control center. The world awaits in FEAR. Your mission is stamped IMPOSSIBLE.

An excellent conversion packed with everything from the original - even the speech. Meanwhile the animation is second to none. The great platform gameplay is very addictive.

Impossible. It's been a long time since the Agency stamped a mission that way. (Back then, agents had numbers like 006 and 007.) But the Agency had never faced a foe like the fiendishly clever Elvin. Until now.
Your mission, Agent 4125 (we've lost an agent or two since 007), is to fall Elvin's horrible plots. From his underground laboratory, the nefarious scientist is holding the world's population hostage under the threat of nuclear annihilation. You must penetrate the rooms and tunnels of his stronghold, avoid his human-seeking robots, and search for the pieces of his security code.
Somersault over the robots or use a precious snooze code to deactivate them long enough to search each room. As you find code pieces, the Agency's computer will help you unscramble the passwords, or you can try to solve them yourself. You've got to reach Elvin's control center, but you'd better watch you step... They didn't stamp this impossible for nothing!

Master of Darkness is a platform game, very similar to Castlevania. The plot has the player entering the role of a psychologist named Dr. Social trying to defeat Dracula, who is behind a series of killings in London which have been attributed to Jack the Ripper.

The game requires the player to battle his way through several locations such as cemeteries, laboratories, castles and a house of wax dolls. To defeat the enemies (which range in ability and include zombies, bats and ghosts), players can utilise several primary and secondary weapons. Primary weapons are close combat weapons ranging from knives to rapiers and axes, that differ in range and efficiency. Secondary weapons are long-range weapons (pistols, bombs etc.) with limited ammunition. The player can hold one type of primary and secondary weapon. Picking up a new weapon means it automatically replaces the previous weapon in the player's inventory.

If you're looking for genuine altruism, check no further than your local society of crash test dummies. These men and women are so utterly selfless that they voluntarily test car safety for us humans, knowing full well that the cars they are getting into are going to crash and shoot them through the windshield like a cannonball.

The Incredible Crash Dummies for the Super NES lets you control Slick, one of the smarter dummies in the group. Naturally, his job is to perform an altruistic feat. However, instead of merely testing a car, he must rescue Dr. Zub, the leader of the dummies.

Dr. Zub has been kidnapped by Junkman, a deranged dummy who wants to make the world an unsafe place. If your rescue attempt is unsuccessful, Junkman will drain the Doc's memory banks and steal the top secret design for the TORSO-9000. With this in his position, Junkman can create a dummy body so durable that it will make him unstoppable. You must prevent this from happening.

For a dummy, Slick is quite talented. With your help, he can walk left and right, and he can duck, skid and jump. He can also find air bags that enable him to float and lightning bolts that give him super speed.

To ward off enemies, he can jump on them or pick up wrenches to throw at them. Other pickups include yellow crash targets, which are worth bonus points, blue crash targets, which add 10 seconds to your time limit, and dummy heads, which give you extra lives.

The Incredible Crash Dummies, which contains 16 stages of action, takes place in Crash Town, USA, where you'll maneuver through a crash test center, a construction site, a military testing zone and a junk yard.

This is a side scrolling platform game. Every level has Slick and Spin doing a dangerous stunt, which they would in turn be graded on style. There were 5 levels: jumping off a building, driving a car through a course, skiing down a mountain, sorting bombs in a bomb factory and piloting a spaceship. Once the player had completed these levels, they would repeat numerous times, but with a different layout each time and generally increasing in difficulty, until the player has earned enough money to go on holiday.

It's a crashing, bashing good time guaranteed to break you up! Whether it's an avalanche of laughs on the ski slopes, the boulevard bounce after a short jump, or a burst of high pressure humour testing air bags, The Incredible Crash Dummies are a real crack-up! They may have a few screws loose... but The Incredible Crash Dummies will knock themselves out so you can have a good time!

An addictive game that has five short challenges. A nice try, but there is so little to it!

According to Marvel Comics' lore, while trying to save his good friend, Rick Jones, nuclear physicist Dr. Robert Bruce Banner was caught in a blast from an atomic explosion. The resulting massive dose of gamma radiation altered Dr. Banner's body chemistry forever. Now, whenever the good doctor gets angry or frustrated, he turns into The Incredible Hulk, a huge, green superhero monster with massive strength.

Through the years, Hulk has amassed a number of foes, including the Leader, who has decided to conquer Earth because he figures it should only be ruled by someone of his superior intellect. To initiate his plan, he constructs a huge fortress within a savage forest and builds a vast army of battalion robots and genetically engineered mutants, such as lizards, slugs, cement-mixer men and sword-wielding Romans.

In addition, the Leader has enlisted the help of five boss character supervillains: Rhino, whose head butts can be lethal; Tyrannus, who fires thunderbolts; Absorbing Man, who wields a ball and chain and can transform into different substances; Abomination, who appears throughout the game and is almost as strong as Hulk himself; and The Brain, who releases an onslaught of smaller brains. Each boss (other than Abomination) guards the end of a level. Levels include City & Construction Site, Tyrannus' Labyrinth, The Leader's Fortress, The Leader's Interior and Final Confrontation.

If you haven't guessed by now, this game puts you in the title role, and it is your job to make Earth safe once again by making it past obstacles (such as spiky tusks and hover guns) while beating up a bunch of bad guys. Your appearance and abilities will vary among four different energy states. When your gamma energy is low and you are Bruce, you cannot fight, but you can access certain areas of the map not available to the others and pick up and fire a gun.

As Hulk, you can execute a number of standard moves, such as punching, slapping and headbutting. You can also grab and throw enemies and objects, such as stone pillars and jeeps. When you have upgraded to Super-Hulk, you can smash ceilings, pull off a sonic clap maneuver and execute a foot mashing technique. When your gamma energy is at its peak, you will Hulk-Out and become a savage, uncontrollable beast with immense power. To increase your energy, you must collect Gamma Capsules or Transformation Capsules that appear throughout the game.

You can find extra lives and extra credits in various areas within the levels, but they are usually hidden in bonus rooms or in places only accessible in Hulk-Out mode.

The game lets you take control of the Hulk through five levels of side-scrolling action: City and Construction Site, Tyrannus' Labyrinth, Leader's Fortress, Leader's Interior, and the Final Confrontation.

Along the way you'll be able to pick up Gamma Capsules which will transform you into Hulk, Super Hulk, or Hulk-Out, giving you the strongest moves available. You'll have to be careful not to take too much damage, however. Every hit by an enemy or obstacle reduces your Gamma level, reverting you back to Dr. Bruce Banner if it gets down to a certain percentage.

As The Incredible Hulk you must defeat The Leader's evil forces. Plans are afoot to produce a destructive biochemical army and The Leader has enlisted the assistance of your deadliest foes - Tyrannus, Absorbing Man, Abomination and Rhino in a quest for world domination! The Leader awaits you!

As with the Game Gear version, this mediocre platform beat-'em-up suffers from extremely repetitive, laborious gameplay. It's also way too easy - even on Hard Level.

Side-scrolling arcade game featuring the Marvel Comics superhero - an ordinary scientist who was exposed to an accidental superbust of gamma radition and can transform a superstrong, hulking figure when sufficiently angered.

Use your whip! Use your fists! Use your wits! The chase is on, all the way to the greatest treasure in history, the Holy grail.

Scramble over the rumbling circus train, fight your way out of a giant Zeppelin and race against time and ancient booby traps.

You control Indy as you battle to survive one testing action packed level after another.

Very, very frustrating. Not only is it hard but the collision detection is inaccurate. Still the graphics are encouraging.

Those mean ol' Nazis are still chasin' after holy relics for unholy purposes, and this time they want the Holy Grail - the cup Christ used at the Last Supper and which is supposed to possess divine powers. So much for Indy's summer vacation.... Based on the hit feature film, the third in the Indiana Jones trilogy, starring Harrison Ford, Sean Connery, and John Rhys-Davies.

This is yet another one of those movie-inspired marketing efforts that ultimately wears thin. Looks good, plays fair, and eventually gets boring after a bit. This was a contract job for Lucasfilm, and it shows.
